Well we ARE able to hear them, it's not like they haven't leaked.

I don't have any type of 'connections' in which to have all of these tracks/videos that alot of you folks have in your collections.

Could there be any more tracks in the vault though or are we certain that there are not?

More tracks from those sessions? Definitely so.

More tracks with Tamar vocals overdubbed on them? IDK.

i haven't read this thread real close, but has anyone mentioned the song "On Your Own" yet?
they recorded it together in 1993/1994 (?) when she still went by the name Ashley Davis.

i've always liked that song. shame it was never released on an official release.

i also love her backing vocals on the 3121 album. it gives the album a bit more of a cohesive
feel to have about 5 tracks iirc with her backing. she sounds good on there.

the whole Milk & Honey album is pretty decent. it's not spectacular, but it should have been
released. shame it wasn't.

Prince & Tamar's show in Times Square was dope. I appreciated how Prince kept his back turned during most of the show so the focus would be on Tamar. Highlights from that night for me were "Every Little Step I Take," along with their cover of "Love Changes."
.
Caught them again at Butter, where Tamar gave me a tambourine with Prince's symbol on it. Got to go on stage and do an 80's dance. Said I'd do the Oak Tree, but did the Wooden Leg. Prince corrected me. Dope night!
.
Here's a photo I took the same day as the Butter show (from their GMA performance).

He seemed very relaxed with her and she with him, kind of a sibling type of vibe. I know ppl say they were together but what female was he ever around where those rumors didn't pop up? So cute. They were a good team.

Thanks - ACharmed1. This is the video from the Asian website. P really did have a lot of respect and affection for Tamar. The performance went really well and he seemed to be thrilled that they nailed it so he hugged her tight. I said Andy Allo was the first of P's curly haired babes, but it was actually Tamar. You are right. I don't get the vibe that he had anything going with Tamar. I think he felt bad that she was drawn unfairly into his divorce drama when she was just trying to get her career off the ground. She is extremely talented.

U're very welcome. I dunno about an Asian site but this was from the SNL performance. Really wonderful.

nod Agreed. He had a huge heart, and loved taking care of others. Always wanting 2 make sure every1 was "cool".

I think ppl that view him as a jerk don't seem 2 understand he was a boss as well. And like any good boss he pushed ppl 2 be their best and achieve perfection. The stories about him docking ppl and things like that... it's kinda like besides firing some1 what else was he supposed 2 do, allow horrible sound or playing? And then that's taken as a "jerk" move. The man was flawed as we all R and made mistakes but his heart was always in the right place. A lot of what he did was self preservation mode 2, protecting his own heart.

And after all the things he'd been thru in his life 1 can't blame the poor guy.

I totally agree with you. I don't recall too many things about what others did for P. It was take, take, take and complain until he passed then everyone starts to cry about his kindness and big heart. For a kid who was kicked out of his home to make it big and live his dream of making music, traveling the world, owning several fantastic homes and properties, and becoming incredibly rich. I think P deserves a lot of respect and a bow!

THANK U!!! yes

First stop: Minneapolis. While just a teen, Tamar’s voice had found it’s way onto the radar of literal rock royalty, when her demo landed in the hands of none other than Prince, himself. She scored an invitation to his hallowed Paisley Park studios, but didn’t get a chance to meet him. But she didn’t give up, either, and, went on to study music business at the University of Southern California. But after scoring an invitation to one of Prince’s house parties, she seized her opportunity, introduced herself and auditioned on the spot. Prince remembered hearing her demo in the past, and in 2005, Tamar and Prince both signed with Universal Records on the same day.
But she soon realized that the provocative Prince of Purple Rain fame had evolved – personally, spiritually and artistically. To Tamar, he was simply “Uncle Prince.”
“He was so giving, and he loved that I was so green about his past. He protected me from that side of him. He was very respectful of my parents, he went to my brother’s basketball tournament and sat in the stands with my family,” she laughed. “I was never star-struck with him. He liked Frappuccinos, I liked Frappucinos. Everything about him was just normal to me.”
Paisley Park is in your heart
