I regard the 2002 celebration as my personal Woodstock. Nah, scratch that....it was even better ! " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

10 times. Wish it had been more. My first was the Lovesexy tour and last was the Welcome 2 Chicago in 2012. Here's hoping his estate will release live concert videos of Prince from different tours on Blu soon! "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

I'd venture to say you've been to more gigs than many of his employees!

I saw him 3 times; same shows you listed. I may have seen him a 4th time. He opened for Rick James (RJ) in 1979, and I never missed an RJ show.

Awesome! Yes, it was a super fun concert. I didnt expect him to open with the sampler set! It worked really well. The energy was so electric that night. We went to the dinner that the RBC Center had before the show and got to listen in on his soundcheck. We also got to see him up close when he walked by us when entering the stage. & Yes, I am glad we hung out after the last encore...the lights were on and people were leaving... then we heard DMSR fire up and everyone went down and rushed the stage for a final funky treat!! There is a DVD of that show floating around!

I attended three shows; 1997, 2004 and 2011. I may have attended a 4th show (so young and so long ago). Prince opened for Rick James in 1979, and I never missed a Rick James show; never. For the 2004 show, there were purple Musicology umbrellas placed in the suites; I sat in the arena. One of my friends who sat in a suite saw me after the show, and gave me an umbrella. I still have it. Unfortunately, after his death it's very hard to look at it because the day of the Musicology show was April 21, 2004. Someone offered me money for the umbrella because I use to use it. So...I stopped taking it out of the house before he died, and now it won't come out of the house unless I move. Prince's Welcome to America show in 2011 in Columbia, SC was absolutely the best; It was 3-3 1/2 hourslong. The promoter said he felt good, and wanted to keep playing that night. I chalked it up to John Blackwell being his drummer and being a native of Columbia, SC. My friends and I have never stopped talking about that show. I was so looking forward to the Piano and a Microphone Tour." />

I think that was the last 3EG show?? Is that correct? I was surprised when he sang Shake! from Graffiti Bridge. Totally unexpected and it sounded great. I wish the recording was better. Also - when Stevie Wonder joined...WOW. Amazing last show to see him - and the long Dance Electric jam...amazing.

I am fortunate to live in the bay area , he loved it here & the west coast in general . He kept us spoiled and I never took it for granted. I knew he wouldn't be around forever but like the rest I didn't think he'd be gone this soon. [Edited 1/12/17 21:14pm] [Edited 1/17/17 22:03pm]

I wish I had em all. I can imagine you do. My score is now 7 out of 10. Used to have'em all, but the ones on cassette (yes, back then they were used quite regularly), but lost some of those over the years (relocated 4 times). Those were good to excellent but are now almost impossible to find. I like to listen to them very often because it keeps the memory alive. I have very good memories about those gigs and the atmosphere around it. Nothing could beat a Prince concert. 'Liberate My Mind'
