Zero. For 80 to 95 I have reasons: I was about college the way P was about music. And I have three degrees to prove it. But after that, there's just no fucking excuse for me. I was finally going to do 2016, even though I'd have to travel to Boston. My budget was any amount of money. And you know what happened. I have to live with that regret forever.

In fact, allow me:

wall err duh duh duh

I'm right there with you. My lame excuse is that I lived in montana for 15 years. I need "never saw prince" support therapy. I always thought I would get a chance...now I'm forever heart broken!

all recordings of what is circulating. but a number of shows i was at are not circulating. some there are parts, some nothing at all, like cafe de paris 2014. ronnie scotts and the second kings place show are notably lacking, likewise the electric ballroom shows

I lost count once the number of shows climbed into the fifties, but I'm fortunate, like others, to have seen Prince in so many different venues, such as Paisley Park, Bunkers, and several small and large theatres across America, especially the South. In 1998, my wife and I practically stalked Prince from Georgia to Alabama, through Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Texas, ending the year ringing in the new year (1999) with Prince at the Houston, TX, show. So, from Dirty Mind through Musicology, I witnessed a lifetime of shows from the purple genius. Yet, even after all of that, my wife and I are still pissed about the night that Prince was going to play at Bunkers, but some drunk dame managed to get pass security and literally run Prince back to his limo parked behind Bunkers. Sonny T., Tommy B., and Mr. Hayes along with a few musicians from Dr. Mambo's Combo had just finished a real nasty funk jam and were waiting for Prince to come to the stage when they were told that Prince had left the building. Sonny and the band played one more song and then called it a night. Everybody in the place wanted to choke that drunken dame. But, again, I can't really complain as I had seen him so many times by then and was blessed to see him several more after that. But, for some reason, that night at Bunkers always stands out for some reason. Well, that and the night in 1997 when Prince played a concert and then an after show in Mississippi and decided to wear a full winter coat in late August while performing at a bar in Mississippi. Throughout the after show, Prince kept saying, "Mississippi, y'all got the heat on?" We kept yelling from the audience, "Man, this is Mississippi; it doesn't get cold until mid-December, and, even then, the cold doesn't last but three weeks." Yet, despite being hot, in that big ass winter coat, Prince played a wonderful set.

I'm so glad that my final time seeing Prince was finally in a small club in 2014 that held a thousand people--standing room only (except for VIPs upstairs--pshhaw) and only a few feet from the stage. A dream that finally came true that I hold dear to my heart today!

- Paris 92

- Paris 93 x2

- Paris 98

- Arras 10

That's 5 times. Now that he's gone when I think of all the opportunities I've missed sad

- Paris 92, I could have gone to all 3 shows instead of one...

- Paris aftershow 92, we didn't know before...

- Paris aftershow 93, we didn't know before...

- Bataclan 94, we didn't know before...

- Paris 2002, I was travelling in China...

- Montreux and 21 Nights in London 2007: I could have afforded and attended both, just didn't bother, I can't even explain why...

- Montreux 2009, I was fucking travelling in China again...

- Paris 2009, I was near Paris but tickets were sold-out one hour after being put on sale...

- Paris aftershow 2009, I'd just travelled back from a trip from Northern France to home in Southern France, I could have managed to get a ticket and jumped in a train back to Paris then back home the next morning but I thought that's gonna be really expensive and I'm gonna lose 2 days of work...

- Geneva 2010, I booked a ticket, show was cencelled, never got my money back, may this Quarcopoome son of a whore fuck his mother in hell!

- Nice 2010, thought Arras and Geneva would be enough

...Then from September 2010 on I've been living in Asia...

Damn!

^At least you've seen the world, data! I missed Prince's last concert in Amsterdam because I was in South America, but I'm still glad I went. At the end of the day, that's an experience that counts much more than seeing a concert. In other words, when my time comes and I have any regrets, it won't be, "wish I'd seen more concerts" and I don't want it to be "wish I'd seen more countries", so I'll take every opportunity that I can to travel the world.

Oh I certainly woudn't trade any of those 2 Chinese trips for any of those 2002 and 2009 shows or anything in the world for that matters, both were such glorious adventures! I actually did go while knowing that would mean missing Prince shows but hell, I wasn't gonna cancel a 3 months and a 2 months trip respectively just for seeing Prince onstage.

I'm super pissed about the other shows I've missed though, particularly those where I chose not to attend when I could have.

Lemme think.

Purple Rain, Lovesexy, Hit & Run 2000 twice, One Night Alone twice, Musicology twice, plus 2 aftershows (ONA and H&R on Thanksgiving eve) so that's ten.

I have seen him 6 times. All shows were in Germany.

01. June 1986 Dortmund Sign of the times Tour

27. August 1988 Frankfurt Lovesexy Tour

02. June 1992 Cologne Diamonds and Pearls Tour

27. December 1998 Cologne New Power Soul Tour
27. December 1998 Cologne After Show at the Live Music Hall

27. October 2002 Oberhausen One Nite Alone Tour

The best shows were the last one and the aftershow in Cologne were seeing him up close was an amazing experience. The show was almost stopped after a few minutes because Prince left the stage complaining about too many people smoking in the room. He only returned after some fresh air was let in and played an amazing show.

Prince was a lucky bastard. Probably the only person to go to every show!
