I am glad that PP is going to do something about this. Yeah they need some security and banned people who don't know how to behave becuause Prince wouldn't tolerate this shit.

I also still think PP opening is too soon even though the estate need to make money because of the tax bill. They need more time to plan and get it right.

The museum chose this particular piano for "photo ops". Not even roped off. People being allowed to touch the piano - or even grope it. Prince had other "less valuable or historically relevant" pianos at Paisley Park that could be used for this purpose. One might call them "generic" pianos, which certainly belonged to Prince and were used for recording sessions, but that are not so irreplaceable.

The problem with your western theme park analogy is that this isn't just another impersonal tourist attraction where you can stand behind a generic bar for a pic, it's about a PERSON.

That person isn't there anymore. It's about a building and some objects. That's what they're selling "Come to this building give us $100 look at these things, leave"

A real person who passed away 6 months ago, somebody whose fans are protective of his legacy. He was real, not a cartoon character. It's definitely not. The blue angel was a light blue. This lookes more like the guitar he uses in the Undertaker video... although it's obviously not that guitar or one he ever used... the ones he used had symbol fret markers... this one has dots. Replica.

I was relieved when I heard that Graceland's company, who manages the day to day operations would be taken over, but I wonder if they are taking the preservation of the archives seriously.

No photography is allowed unless you take the VIP tour, and they will take your picture and load it on a flashdrive for you.

Prince's family responded that they did indeed take this seriously and changes will be made, so they are quite concerned about it also.

I don't know if it toured around the world.

The museum could be done properly. But it has to reflect the complexity of Prince.

The cultural heritage is huge, and it doesn't matter of how little mainstream it went.
Clearly the guy who thought a guitar laying on a piano was better than a vase of flowers is a moron.

No musician would ever put a guitar pedestal on top of a piano.

I wish Prince's family well, but the heck: whomever's in charge doesn't have a clue of who Prince was, and what people his fanbase is made of. They only dug he's a household name, and that's about the only value they seem to believe in so far. This little, sad, boring-already-existing compilation proves it.

So far no one cares about the art of Prince.

Its the shame that a few fams have ruined a good photo opportunity for fans. A pic in front of a rope is hardly a keepsake.
