Yet TGE wasn't commercial at all.
Yes it had some singles that cracked the top 20, but... The album tanked at the BillBoard charts barely selling 500,000 copies, also the tour was a financial failure. [Edited 9/11/16 17:51pm]

Top 50 all-time worst seems a bit extreme... but "Come" IS a pretty sucky album by Prince standards.

Stupid list is F'n stupid. Its doing exactly what it was intended to do....get people to talk about it. (Insert something clever here)

Come doesn't belong there either but PUMP by Aerosmith??? That might be in my 50 best of all time!

the strange thing about being more acessible now... TGE is out of print and can only be bought second hand... COME is still in print under WB.

If you're going to pick a Prince album, at least go with "New Power Soul". [Edited 9/13/16 9:05am]

. I would argue "New Power Soul" is a more coherent album than "Come." . "Come" marked a real turning point in the arc of Prince's career - and it wasn't a good one. It may not be his worst (see "Musicology") but it marked an abrupt end to his unerring ability to craft a truly cohesive album.

July '94 "Lovesign" on the Today show.
August '94 "Come" was released - Doesn't feature TMBGITW. (Or any songs he'd promoted) Aug/Sept '94 "Letitgo" single is release - Shit video, no TV spots. + 1800NEWFUNK is released.
November '94 "Space" single is released, No video?, no tv spots. + The Black Album is released
August '95 "The Good Life" is released as a single.
September '95 "The Gold Experience" is released + "I hate u" single
November '95 "Gold" single

what's sad is Prince really wanted TGE to b a hit... But WB kept pushing it back... In the end it was a strong album for his 90's output but fell short of the commercial success it should've had...

He never did a cohesive album since Sign O' The Times actually.

Actually believing 'Come' to be a bad album plays more into what Prince wanted you to think of that record than that record actually is.

"Come" is a great album. Many of the songs have a number of remixes, alternate mixs, "Space" has an acoustic mix. A lot of them were played live regularly. "Dark/So Dark" still popped up in his setlists.

Awww, c'mon, Noodled, even TAFKAP at his most deluded freaked out of his idiot anti muthafucking WB mind must have realized Exodus wasn't going to sell shit, so he only "promoted" it to at WB. [Edited 9/14/16 16:22pm]

"The Good Life" single hit the top 20 in the UK. Bootlegs like "Emporium" and "Paradiso '95" - the audience were lapping it up. The latter audience bursts into a spontanious chant of "Fuck Warner Bros" - I can totally see why Prince thought "the people" were on his side. [Edited 9/15/16 10:55am]
