Agree (with the "not havin it" face). - it's not just about "keeping the faith." it's about "booking airline tickets" and "reserving hotels." This isn't the way you organize and promote a big stadium show. I've have a non-good feeling about this whole event.

There are plenty of tickets available for tours at Paisley Park that week. They are NOT sold out.

Tributes suck. The family should produce, not create, an amazing documentary.

And thanks to whoever from the Org. tweeted in an attempt to clarify the situation! Tweet was not snarky or passive, very well stated.

I agree, but a "full blown out tribute" has been promised. That has built expectations...and it is rapidly fueling frustrations.

I am going to see Stevie Nicks at the end of November. I bought my ticket this week. That is how a concert is normally handled. At least a couple of months out the tickets go on sale. I am concerned because Prince deserves the finest tribute possible, and there have already been two: BET and the Revolution shows. Plus, fams deserve clarity on what is happening. Prince means too much for anything less than the class act he was.

When nothing "official" happened in the first month I suspected it probably wouldn't happen at all. First it was August, then October which seems doubtful at this point. . I am perfectly fine with the BET Tribute - that was as close to wonderful as I would have asked for and the fact that it was televised meant access was worldwide. - I would love to see The Revolution do something at the Grammys. - But outside of that, there were lots of dance parties public and private, PR screenings - public and private, radio shows, etc. paying tribute in April and then again in June. - I think the family/estate dropped the ball and/or missed the boat on this completely and to be honest that kind of pisses me off the way the fams are being lead on. I'm sure the intentions were good but this thing is a mess.

Ingrid Chavez should be added to this dream list of performers. Ingrid is also one of the best.

She would definitely be a nice addition to the line-up.

Enjoy your time at The Park. I know it will be bittersweet. BTW: I believe that the movie screening is sold out. Let's hope there will be a Tribute for you to attend. I wish I could be there. A trip to Minni and Chanhassen is definitely on my bucket list.

I am so done with the tributes. There should have been a memorial for friends, family, and one for the fans. This has not been handled well at all. [Edited 9/10/16 23:09pm]

The movie screenings are not sold out - but UTCM/SOTT is almost 60% sold out - not too shabby! PR/GB hasn't yet been as actively promoted but that will be fixed tomorrow and that should increase those ticket sales too Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

[Edited 9/10/16 23:09pm] This concert was supposed to be the memorial for fans. Sad if they can't pull it off but I'd rather they cancel it than rush something that turned out to be a disaster. Do most celebrities have memorials for fans? Seems to me most celebrities that pass away do not have fan memorials. I know Prince wasn't most celebrities but still I'm not sure we should have expected a memorial just for us. Paisley Park is in your heart

[Edited 9/10/16 22:55pm] This is what he posted on FB: BrownMark What I can tell you so far is, The Revolution is not confirmed. We have yet to speak with nor negotiate with the promoters. We are willing and eagerly waiting for the negotiations to begin for this Tribute. I will keep you posted Purple Fam.. So it sounds like The Revolution would play if there was something more concrete. I get the feeling the people running the estate have taken on too much too soon and something has to give which will probably be this concert. Paisley Park is in your heart

If what BrownMark says is true, and The Revolution has not even been approached by the promoters, I think it's more than that. Something is not right. [Edited 9/11/16 6:11am]

Several months ago, I read a gossip item that there were two factions in the family (the heirs), and they were fighting each other over tribute concert TV rights - they wanted the most money possible and there was a disagreement on how the show would be handled. This was confirmed to me by someone who lived in the area at that time. It doesn't pay to bring in the B or C team to sort out an A level, mishandled empire. I have no problem with Bremer, but the big dogs needed to be brought in to handle the estate/tribute/merchandising, etc. Entertainment lawyers, accountants, etc., who have represented the biggest stars.

[Edited 9/11/16 6:11am] But Londell was at all the Rev shows and tweeted about it. I seriously think they are in over their heads. PP has to open on the 9th. At this point the concert doesn't have to happen. But what's so weird about it all is you get the feeling they rushed to open PP to accommodate people attending the concert but now it seems like the concert might not even happen. Shit show all around (sorry for my cursing, P). Paisley Park is in your heart
