Yeah but when and where, and why not in place of this "tease"?

Lame.

Not too impressed with Londell & his smoke signals.

Hey, after all this time, I'll take it. Crazy with curiousity about the lineup. This could go multiple ways...

Agreed....hoping they surprise us with some great choices!

Major Announcement ALERT #Today - rather than comforting, has me a smidge concerned - Doesn't necessarily send positive yes vibes.

OK I'm confused. The press release specifically calls out Liv Warfield but wasn't she a member of NPG? I hope Shelby J is there too. And Maceo Parker. I wonder who is going to play drums in place of John Blackwell? Michael Bland maybe?

Now that it's been moved to Xcel Center, can anyone from the area give me some insight if getting from downtown Minneapolis to Xcel will be easy to travel to via light rail, and will this be safe to travel after the concert at night (female travelling by herself)? I booked at the Radisson downtown since it was close to 1st Ave and fairly close to US Bank Stadium. Also, I'm a little worried about getting a ticket before they sellout now, since the seating capacity is a lot less than the stadium.

No word from Tyka, but Sharon is quoted: "The family is extremely excited to provide an opportunity for the world to participate in the tribute for our brother Prince," Prince's half-sister, Sharon Nelson, said in a press release. "This concert will be an event not to be missed.”

My questions exactly. My Mom and I will be staying downtown too and have the exact same concerns. I will be watching for answers too. Thank you!!

Honestly, your cryptic vague comments are not helping - we're literally at crunch time with less than a month to go! Please provide concrete information instead of those. Thank U.

I'm glad they pulled it together but I'm sure it was more difficult than we know. I wonder if there are hard feelings??? I think moving the location to a smaller venue was the best!!!! Just hope I can get tickets will not be going on the second hand market. Will not be paying 3 arms and 4 legs. The ticket resale places are already selling tickets and the tickets are available yet.

The Xcel Center is in St. Paul, and I don't think the light rail goes that way. BUT...if there are enough people at the Radisson who are headed that direction, maybe you all could work out a way to use the hotel shuttle to get you over there? Or you could always cab pool.

Even though the capacity is smaller, the Xcel Center was probably the better way to go. They'll be able to sell it out, and will have fewer potential weather issues (which is a real thing in Minnesota in October).

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Is this just rhetoric, or will it be televised / streamed live on the net so that people across the world really CAN participate?
