Awww I love the grocery list. The Five Alive sets the stage and it made me want Strawberries & Crepes even though I've never had them. There are list lovers out there. Lots of great list art that is intentional to, in museums.

They could bid on it. That is, if they don't already have equally interesting stuff. I'm sure there were some grocery lists laying around (I found around 7 of them cleaning my place this weekend), and all sorts of memos... maybe, just maybe, a copy of Camille laying around somewhere.

It's a promo copy of the album. You can read the last two titles on Side 1: Strange Relationship followed by Feel U Up. Makes you wonder they don't know what they trully have since it's buried in the photo and listing although they do label it as unreleased.

Who knows... but isn't it just possible that she actually does know what she's talking about? True, I never saw anything where anyone said "And then Prince handed me the Camille LP"--but I don't know exactly how far things got on the project, and I consider it possible that his personal assistant might have some information I don't (I didn't know he ever wrote the words "Five Alive," for example). Did Camille get further than just a list of songs (I assume it actually did, even if we don't have that circulating) and if it did, wouldn't a tape of the full thing as sequenced (even premastering) be better than we have now? It certainly would be better than what I have.

Zero. Tapes of unreleased stuff get sold regularly, you just can't exploit those commercially (i.e. you cannot rip that Camille album and sell those recordings).

All I can think of about the doll is that Prince was a real taskmaster, and the costume department went through it as well. They knew how demanding he could be, and I am sure the employees shared (or commiserated) when he was rough. Hence, the doll to get back at him. He was THE BOSS, and he honestly IMO didn't care if people liked him or not. He just wanted the work to get done and to get done properly.
