now where is that big picture from? it's not from the auction page, so this is not the copy from Karen Krattingers collection but another one?

It is on the auction page - they've photographed the Camille album separately. So I guess they do know its rarity.

[Edited 9/8/16 14:48pm]

They should auction it separately. I wouldn't pay more than $10 for everything else in that lot.

Eddie - Some of us are talking about Prince's grocery list. That is what collecting is all about. The fact that you just found 7 of yours, meh.

[Edited 9/8/16 13:06pm]

Hey, I'm talking about it too. I already said that the "Five Alive" thing was interesting, and I meant that. And that's exactly the sort of thing that people use in exhibits to humanize a subject and make people feel that the person was relatable. However, I do think there were probably lots of those things available still in-house (though much more recent, and that might make it less interesting or historically significant in many people's view).

And I really do think that if the Paisley Park people want any of it (and they might) that they should bid.

And I think someone should buy the Camille pressing and give it to me.

I also wonder if there's anything else in that group of recordings that didn't get mentioned explicitly that might also be of interest.

Actually, they probably should bid on that doll. That might be unique.

--- Do you really think the estate should bid on sonething she may have stolen.

Oh look, more baseless accusations and slander. Yes, let's ignore Prince looooong history of handing out stuff.

I also find it interesting that another person is worried about the slander of a person that do not know from Adam but could care less that she might have stole that Camille pressing and is just selling it to cash him after his death. Ok Eddie - I wasnt even sure I got that right. Am dyslexic and still have not figured out all the quote windows! Yes Five Alive puts the list squarely in the '80s nostalgia for us old folks. Oh, and when the buyer gives you the Camille pressing I can borrow it? cool

The voodoo doll creeps me out. As the skeleton krewe says in New Orleans - you next! I don't wanna be in that club even for play cause ya neva know. skull

The late fine on the memo is interesting. A well known bandleader from NOLA charges $20 a minute for each infraction. Like late leaving the hotel, late to breakfast, dinner, the gig, etc. He even charges himself if he's late. Not exactly sure how that works but I heard it from someone in the band.

Brand new boogie without the hero.

Yes, her fiendish masterplan has paid off after waiting what... more than a QUARTER OF A CENTURY? And she then put up that super-rare album for auction as part of a group of promo records, and it was almost invisible in the photo. Yes, obviously a master criminal at work here. Hey, perhaps you can also include Prince's untimely death into your scenario.

.

Or maybe she was simply an employee who got handed stuff on a regular basis? I mean, just look at how much hassle they had in rounding up promo copies of The Black Album back in 1987. Hell, back in 1994 Prince's camp send DATs and artwork to Edel and then acted all surprised when that company actually released the Jacob Armen record they'd gotten.

//- You need to stop this bullshit that you have the inside scoop on what was going on at Paisley Park. Do you know for certain that he gave her that Camille pressing? What I know and you know as well is that Alan Leeds people stole music and that they even contacted the FBI about it. The Estate can get an injunction to have any item removed from auction so that possession/the real owner could be determined. The sale is this coming week. If the Estate fails to step in, then you can be sure she legally owns the merchandise. And she can sell it whenever she chooses. It has been decades. Let her alone.

She doesn't have to be, Cynthia Rose wasn't

Dude, she had sex with Prince and Prince was friends with him long after the relationship was over, she will always be a part of it no matter how much people dislike her. Pick apart everything they can, being on her FB page even though they don't like her etc etc etc we'll all be too old to remember it all soon enough

people bitch about lyrics to a song on a mug or tshir and a couple dollars she will make

but search the world over for bootlegs that they never pay the people/person who made the music for

I noticed that there must have been at least one false bid on the album set. It was over $30,000 earlier today, and was under $20,000 the last time I looked. I bid on two items, and am still the high bidder on both, but I don't expect that to last too long. Plus, I am not going to spend thousands on any item here. There will be plenty more Prince artifacts to come down the pike in the future.
