I'm not sure about the shoes, but I do know he had a whole shop dedicated to his outfits at PP...he showed a bit of it and talked about it on his Oprah interview. Those tailors knew what they were doing. I also think he was heavily involved in the design process, I've seen handwritten notes to his designer at the time...can't remember her name though... U can be the side effect, I'd rather be the dope.

Interesting how he stayed with one shoe style for the most part. I guess you go with what works.

You know this has been posted plenty, nursey poo. There's another with pictures. . . "My dad Cos Kyriacou is a London shoemaker and while Prince was over here on tour his wardrobe people brought some of his shoes to be repaired. They were having trouble with his regular shoemakers in California and my dad said to them "Why don't you let me make his shoes?". So they gave us his all his details and measurements and for the next nine years he became Prince's personal shoemaker, making the footwear he wore on stage.
This very morning we just found the original wooden lasts we made to those measurements. I'm holding them in my hands as I type this. If you saw Prince on stage during the 90s, they would have been used to make the very shoes you'd have seen him wear. Thought we'd lost these and I hadn't seen them in years. Just seeing and holding them again is bringing back so many memories of when I was a kid spending my evenings and weekends helping my dad out in his workshop. The pages of very detailed technical requirements and specifications, the heels having to be specially reinforced with steel to withstand all the physical punishment he'd put them through, seeing the material and designs for his stage outfits."
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Prince's boots in the 80's were made in London by a cobbler. Can't remeber the name right now. As for the last few years, Andre#1 in Los Angeles made his boots.
Prince's clothes in the 80's were made by Marie France(83-86) then from Helen Horatio or Hiatt made his clothes(87-93) From 93 on Prince has had various designers including Versace.
Prince's hair was done by Jill Jones' uncle, Earl Jones from 1983-92/93. Sadly Earl passed away around that time and Prince's hair has never looked as good since.
That should cover all the bases. [Edited 7/25/16 18:28pm] __________________________________________________

The man who made his shoes in London was based not too far from me. If I'd of known that back in the day I would've camped outside until he let me touch one! laughing but NOT joking! "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

I've often thought about those reinforced heels. If it hadn't been for the steel reinforcements, he wouldn't have been able to jump off of speakers and pianos because the heels wouldn't have been able to withstand the force. Probably would have saved him a lot of pain in the long run. We donβt mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Prince was always fly. But as far as his hair stylist the last 28 years her name was Kim Berry. https://youtu.be/c7d_lIDoe9Y It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

I remember Oprah asked him his waist size and he said 27. Which, looking at him, makes sense. Boy was teensy. I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

Just throw them at folk already. What?
