I do not understand the chain hat either but the microphone could be an example of the phrase "One's tongue is the most lethal weapon of all" So during his days it would make sense he would have a mic turned into a gun because if you visual the significance of a gun and what it can do then you can combine that image and see that he was making a very clear statement and meant ever last "bullet" he fired.

Always hated the chain hat - why cover that gorgeous face??? And I've seen the pink number in a million pics but NEVER picked up on the fact that those things were guitar picks, LOL! U can be the side effect, I'd rather be the dope.

The microphone gun also served as a phallac symbol. In the pink outfilt it looks like custom guitar picks were used as part of the decoration. Pink may have been chosen due to the lighting on stage. Colors look different. I think the shirt goes well with the necklace. I like the idea. Many entertainers have custom shoes but not with reinforced steel in the heel. My feet hurt typing this. I can not imagine the stress put on his feet.

In an article with his publicist for 21 Nights she stated he loved Chanel. P wanted to put $25,000 of Chanel on her corporate credit card. His assistant said they werent going to keep all the clothes, he only wanted a couple items, and they would return the rest to Chanel. She said, no.

Thinking about that interview makes me so sad - the timing was terrible and he (and Mayte) still went through with it...wow. I never could have done that. U can be the side effect, I'd rather be the dope.

Those shoes are part of the reason he's not here with us I think. Now had he been running around and jumping off of risers with rubber soles or something to that effect I assume that would have delayed part of his hip pain.

In the vid of the girl who got fired for running him into stuff while he was hid in the roller cart at the Grammys she says he had a 6 1/2 shoe size in the vid

Damn, if I tried on his shoes, it would be like the wicked step-sisters trying on Cinderella's glass slippers! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Here is a link to the story about making custom shoes for Prince: Prince Had His Signature High-Heels Made In The SouthlandA single pair costs $2,400.
Another challenge — each pair could not be made of any animal products. Prince was a vegan. Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move

English shoemakers Lobb have wooden lasts of Princes feet they must have made shoes for him. They have a Royal Warrent. The wooden lasts they have are from kings and queens to people like Frank Sinnatra! It must be like a foot museum!

I once saw a documentary about Christian Louboutin. He also made shoes for Prince and had this box with his name on, which, I suppose, contained a pair of lasts.

Wasn't there a recent mention of the seamstress that has one of his full body forms? I'd love to see that. I'm nosey.

IMHO he always looked so sharp, especially in the suits: creased pants, no wrinkles, clean, no strings hanging, tailored, he looked like he had respect for himself and his performance. Just loved it and was very attracive to me!! He obviously cared for and put thought into his appearance. Wasn't really into his latest look and he seemed to wear a lot of black the last few months of his life. He sorta had the Jimi Hendrix look and perhaps he was going for that. IDK. Regarding the body language...on the Tavis Smiley interview re the Lotusflower and Bria one he is very obviously open, almost to the point where he looked like he was making a point to be "open". Of course since they were friends that may have put P more at ease. He also seemed to be a fidgeter i.e. last interview, for example, with Arsenio (sunglasses in his hands) and one with Mel B (an earring). I also loved his jewelry, the necklaces and rings. Very interesting pieces. I wonder if he had a preferred jeweler. Loved those ear cuffs as well that he wore for a few years. Looked like he went to studs later on and then to none...it was hard to tell with the fro. He looked like he had no makeup on in the Oprah interview and very boyish and innocent...sweet. Loved the picture in the pinstripe suit in this thread....it's hot.

So I'm thinking in his younger days there might have been a more practical reason why he wore womens clothes. They fit. Because as he started having the money to have his clothes more designed and tailored for him, though very pretty they were designed more like mens clothes.

That was at Kings Cross, Bagley's. I was there, he was not in a gd mood. It was a packed house, sardines in a sauna, people were dropping like flies waiting 4 him.
