I had a weird dream a couple of days ago... I woke up very early in the morning thinking that someone had revealed an unwritten script by Prince for a movie or stage show... Then, I was confused whether or not I read about it or if it was only a dream... Is there such a beast? Hi, just to say that a former employee of PP Retail claims in this video to have been given an (uplifted) working script - in Prince's own handwriting - which he eventually sold. It's mentioned from 58:00 onwards: https://www.youtube.com/w...r1Q0-U5NSo [Edited 8/16/16 7:52am] 💜 Still would stand all Time🎶

Not sure if this is the correct thread to make this statement...but just wanted to say...I've been doing Youtube unreleased material. Do people know that Prince 'bootleg' material from '81-about- '92 was released by his own hand. None of it was mistakenly or subversely released without his knowledge. He had a hand in it purely because WB would not let him. He wanted the 'fans' to hear his music.
I remember collecting is music from a little shop in the West Village that had all his 'bootlegs' with the understanding that HE wanted 'US' to hear it.
Moonbeam levels, Possesed, extended 'unreleased versions' of all of Purple Rain...anything off of Around the World in a Day...etc. All him. I've seen commentary on all these You Tube videos saying they are amazed that this content exists. But, I remember acquiring this at the time....with no problem. Prince was the epitome of underground.
Am I the only person who understands this??? Can't be..I hope. 'Love will be your Soldier' - Nikka Costa

Prince released Crystal Ball for the fans so they wouldn't buy the bootlegs. I think people should know that Prince was against bootlegs. Prince planned to release more from the vault, a Crystal Ball 2, Roadhouse Garden, etc. eventually but he didn't get around to it (and now we know about his hip and leg and foot injuries and secret opioids dependency problems interfering with his life, projects and touring). Prince felt burned and ripped off not just by bootlegs... Goodnight, sweet Prince.

So concerning the vault music. Do we know or think we know what state the unreleased songs are in? Were they recorded and stored as multitracks without a porper mixdown or do you think Prince oversaw and approved a mix for each one? My only issue is if the songs didn't recieve a final mix then any songs we'd get wouldn't be as Prince envisioned them in a completed form. He was always editing out sections as he saw fit or pulling the faders down to remove a part or something else after the fact. We know how Prince would record long complete versions of his music and then release edited versions and sometimes save the complete version for the 12". I would just hate for someone else to edited out a part of the music because "they" felt like it needed it.

Might I suggest that you visit PrinceVault in full detail for a few months, just so Prince followers can, y'know, discuss Prince on a Prince Site.
