Holy shit, never thought I'd see another Prince fan that likes Teddyloid. I love the soundtrack he did for Panty and Stocking. Absolute 10/10 OST, one of my favourites.
As for me, I honestly like so much music it's really hard to decide. I just know that the two artists I generally listen to at all times (I can go through phases) are Prince and Rush. But I like a lot of genres I guess. Not my 'top 5' but I like:
-The Cure -The Smiths -Duran Duran -Rick James -Depeche Mode -Opus III -Supercell -R.E.M -Animal Collective -(honestly don't laugh, I know they're not exactly pinacle patrician musical choice but their early stuff I love to death) MSI -Some NIN (Not a huuuuuuge fan of the heavy stuff but I love Pretty Hate Machine, dat Prince sample on 'Ringfinger' tbh)
There is more that I like but that's all I can think of for now, I would have put The Time on there but I guess they are too Prince related to qualify??

Mindless Self Indulgence is the shit waddya talkin' about lmao forgot to add that on the list. TeddyLoid songs are so fuckin' dope though (I have both P&S albums on my ipod, OST and Worst Album), Reason why i kinda added it there is because i recently listened to a song called Pipo Password that was from an anime called 'Space Patrol Luluco' (check it out, it's by the same person that made Kill La Kill, i love it omfg gotta love Studio Trigger), also ME!ME!ME! is such a trippy and groundbreaking song i've listen...especially the whole music video. Since everyone else is adding more, I will list everyone else I dig. Most of these artists have several songs I love, but many I don't really care for as well. . Prince Satellites - Time, Vanity 6, Sheila E, Jill Jones, Mazarati The Rolling Stones (Most of their stuff) Jackson 5/Jacksons (Even the stuff without Michael) Little Richard (Mostly his original 50s stuff) Red Hot Chili Peppers (Not so much now) Cyndi Lauper Some Beatles stuff Wings/Paul Macartney (Most of it) 1960s Motown soul (Many artists) 1970s funk (Many artists) 1970s disco (As above various songs) Grace Jones 1980s New Romantics/New wave/Synthpop Eurythmics Jimi Hendrix Whitney Houston Mariah Carey (1990s only) Celine Dion (Some of it) Parliament/Funkadelic (Just discovering - really love Testify, all your goodies are gone and Aquaboogie) Stylistics Kool and the gang Dolly Parton Bette Middler Barbra Streisand Janet Jackson Kylie Minogue Prince Tui Teka Bob Marley Various 1970s and early 80s reggae artists UB40 REM 1980s Australian and NZ Pop Boy George/Culture Club Abba 50s rock and roll except Elvis Diana Ross/Supremes . And I will think of more

Omg yes! Their first two albums, Tight and Frankenstein Girls will seem Strangely Sexy are my favourites! Somehow I just always get sort of embarrassed of liking a band so much when most of the lyrics are so uh...up front haha. Ahh yeah I've seen a couple of episodes of Space Patrol Luluco! I kinda got more into Kiznaiver though, need to finish SPL off. I'm a big fan of Studio Trigger, KLK is one of my favourite animes I've watched, I cosplay Ryuko quite a lot. I agree tho about ME!ME!ME!, when you look past the facade of 'weird wtf Japan' stuff you see it's a really deep statement on the situation many young people in Japan are in. GaijinGoomba on Youtube did a brill video about it.

Yes their early stuff has some sort a nostalgic feel idk why it's so great, Songs like Do Unto Others, Tornado, or Bring The Pain ughhh <3 Their albums and live albums are p good up until If and that's where I lost track after that lol, I always wanted to see them in concert someday.
I finished watching SPL in under 3 hours (13 7 min eps makes it almost 90 mins lmao), It's such a cute fun series, i enjoyed it alot. I have a bunch of anime i need get into and Kiznaiver is on that list. cool i should check out his video, i do love me some 'weird wtf japan' stuff btw.
I see that you're cosplaying ryuko on twitter, nicee. I have that jacket that she wore on the 1st ep. its so badass. [Edited 7/2/16 15:41pm]

Yes! I love all of those songs, did you ever hear the remix they did of Bring the Pain? It's so good! I'm the same with you though, after 'If' they lost me. I just really like the very sampley hip-hoppy crazy feel of their early stuff. I want to see them live too. My friend went to see them once and she met them! She said they were all really nice. I probably would have gone with her but at the time I wasn't actually into them. They were HUGE when I was in school (a lot of scene kids liked them) but when I was in school I was heavy into more '80s stuff so stuff like The Cure so they didn't appeal to me at the time. So I only got into them in the past few years.
And yeah Kiznaiver is really good! If you saw Black Rock Shooter I'll say it defo shares the same vein (both shows were written by the same person). And yup I am! Been working really hard on it, it's the first cosplay I've actually ever properly made 100% myself so it might not come out perfect but I'm happy with it so far. And ahh thats so cool that you have her jacket, those style of jackets seem really in fashion atm too, I would wear it as everyday clothes if I had it, not just as cosplay

I'l try this. In no order, maybe: . 1. The Beatles 2. The Stone Roses 3. Bob Dylan 4. The Police and Sting (until 1993) 5. U2 (circa 1980 to 1993) . Just bubbling under: Bob Marley, The Byrds, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder (circa 1969 to 1982), Joan Baez, etc...

In no particular order, here's 5 of my favorites, besides Prince, and the reasons I love them and thanks for reading : Elvis Presley (My dad is a huge Elvis fan and now his music is also one of my favorites. Smooth as silk voice and catchy, upbeat songs as well as the memorable love themes.) H.I.M. (Finnish band that I haven't seen mentioned here, but lord, excellent sound, lyrics, and vocals by lead singer Ville Valo. His voice makes me melt! Beautiful song writing with themes of love, lust, romance, and heartbreak set to a metal sound. Love, love, love them! Please check them out if you've never heard them: https://www.youtube.com/w...h2a-Rj5kbQ and this one too, excellent live: https://www.youtube.com/w...kfm2ZMhcZU) Marilyn Manson (Interesting vocals and sound. This guy really has some talent lyrically and has some rather romantic themes despite a rough and tough presentation at times. He evolves about every album he does and it's always interesting.) Duran Duran (I love these guys. They have longevity and they still sound amazing! They've always had catchy, unforgettable songs and they always brighten my mood. Unique band for sure as they have stood out from the rest from the beginning.) L7 (90s grunge all girl group. I love their in your face attitude and sound. I can rock out to their music consistently and never get tired of it. These gals rock harder than most dudes lol.) "And I know you're not just what you say to me
And I'm not the only moment you're made of..."

I don't have 5 favorites. Prince was # 1, followed closely by Michael Jackson. After them, I really don't have any others.
