TeddyLoid songs are so fuckin' dope though (I have both P&S albums on my ipod, OST and Worst Album), Reason why i kinda added it there is because i recently listened to a song called Pipo Password that was from an anime called 'Space Patrol Luluco' (check it out, it's by the same person that made Kill La Kill, i love it omfg gotta love Studio Trigger), also ME!ME!ME! is such a trippy and groundbreaking song i've listen...especially the whole music video.

THIS is why I like the Org, besides Prince ( R.I.P.)! There are cool musics to discover here from others, with some patience. I like electro forms but the EDM can be tedious for me to sort out & Teddyloid is pretty cool. Nice discovery of the Panty & Stocking anime, BTW!

It is interesting how may people have said Queen and Bowie in their lists. It goes to show that part of Prince's appeal to some of may have been his pushing the boudanries with his androgyny and creativity.

When I was younger, I was introduced to Prince music before Bowie/Queen. In the early days of MTV, I recall the 1999/Purple Rain songs/videos being on heavy rotation and the sound was unlike anything I had heard at that time.

As I grew older (teens), Prince always stayed by my musical side, but curiosity about elements of Prince's sound/image introduced me to Bowie first. The Ziggy Stardust era was a tsunami of sound/sexuality/art and seeing this made Bowie a lifelong musical interest of mine as well. Bowie, like Prince blurred the lines of what music and gender could be in music. Each successive Bowie album during the 70;s was an extension of "sound and vision" so to speak.

Queen was a bit moreso about Freddie Mercury and his flamboyant persona. Their music was great (from Queen to The Game), but Freddie took Rock into a more theatrical direction (for better or worst). Besides the mainstream hits, albums such as Queen II showed Freddie as a dynamic band leader with a vision that merged the sounds of his bandmates effortlessly. I viewed Prince, especially during the 1980's, blending the sounds so effortlessly that I never saw music as simply rock or funk or soul music because he always was able to put his stamp on whatever group of musicians he may have been working with.

Agreed! It is nice to find another Queen II fan. It was my very favorite for a few years after it came out, and nothing sounded so amazing with headphones on, especially when one had a little help from a herbal remedy (back in the days!)

Funny thing, I hated Queen II at first because it seemed to be a meandering mess on first listen, but it grew on me to the poing I prefer it moreso than A Night at the Opera. Queen II is perfect except for Roger Taylor's contribution "Loser in the End". It didn't flow (IMO) with the rest of the album. WIth the headphones on, I love hearing the MUSIC, especially Deacon's bass and the various Freddie vocal tricks.

With Prince, Around the World in a Day and Parade sound heavenly with some good headphones!

Good to see I am not the only Paul Weller fan here. For me, he is absolutley the greatest living English songwriter. He reminds me of Prince not for his music, but how he evolved his own musical sytle throughout his career. Saturns Pattern was brilliant.
