what prince album are you listening to right now? Planet Earth

The Truth. I forgot I had it but came across it when looking through my Physical CDs instead of the iTunes for a change - I realised I put that away and I hardly have ever listened to it (mainly because it is so hard to get out of that stupid ball packaging) , now I am really appreciating it. Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

3121 - I kind of dismissed this one when it first came out (couldn't stand the autotune that was used in some places), but really getting into the album now.

none. i still can't hear him sing. and since everything else now sounds like crap in comparison, i am not listening to much. ironically enough, the only voice i can hear now is mj, whose music i was unable to listen to for almost two years after his passing. when i can, i expect the first to be AOA or Lovesexy. "If u love somebody, your life won't be in vain
And there's always a rainbow, at the end of every rain."--peace and love, dear prince.....

Lotusflow3r. I'm listening to more Prince than ever. I can finally hear his voice without feeling despondent and I'm taking advantage of it. Just bought another record I didn't already have to add to the other 3 I bought right after he passed and couldn't listen to until now. I'm enjoying and appreciating his music more than I ever have. It's almost like discovering or hearing him for the first time all over again. I'm definitely more open-minded about certain music of his I didn't particularly fall in love with at first listen in the past so it's like a brand new experience. I also tend to get burned out on artists and albums and end up taking breaks from a lot of my music other than some timeless favorites that never leave my rotation. So these last days have been a joy diving deeper into Prince than I probably ever have. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Listening to 3121 on my commute today. I went through my whole collection after he passed, in no particular order. I agree with everything sonshine said - it is almost like some of the material is brand new again. I'm really enjoying some tracks (and even albums) I didn't really like or focus on previously.

ATWIAD - I had it in cassette form only, so it was neglected for several years until I downloaded it last week. I used to love it but my memory was tainted by popular opinion of the day that it was "indulgant" and"disappointing". The first time I played it after I downloaded it was like reuniting with a childhood sweetheart that circumstances prevented the relationship from continuin: Love at second sight (go around). I can't believe how way out it really is despite the two singles. It really made a statement that Prince chose to be an artist first rather than just a commercial superstar. It cost him many mainstream fans, but further cemented my love for him as an artist.

The Rainbow Children. I never gave that album a chance when it came out. Thought he officially went crazy. So I finally went back the other day and started listening to it again. Surprised how good it is throughout. Not SOTT or Parade or PR good, but still, he made a very interesting and creative album. Glad I gave it another chance.
