I lost my copy of 21 Nights

Well, shit. I can't find my copy of 21 Nights anywhere. Was the book any good? I can't recall much about it. And copies on Amazon are selling for crazy prices.

The book was OK but most people bought the book for the CD. If you want to listen to the CD it is available online now.

I just dug out my copy last night and listened to the CD. I still like a lot of his humor on the CD. Wait awhile and prices will drop. You should also check www.bookfinder.com it is a meta search site that searches many online book sites.

it was just a picture book. I bought it for like 3 dollars at barnes and noble. My stepdad stole it from me. It's ok, i don't sell stuff like that anyway. I'm gonna check on the jon bream and pop life books. I still have ebony interviews and people issues from the 80's.

the book was just a picture book, the 21 nights i haven't really listened to that close, it didn't particularly "suck" though.

I listened to it last night after many years and while not my favorite I did not think it sucked. Now I would not pay big bucks for it though. I enjoyed the Blues Beggin' Woman/Three Handed Woman.

Don't worry. At some point, people won't be able to sell them again. There was a reason they were in bargain bins. That's the ONLY reason I bought one.

"Girls & Boys," "All The Critics Love U In London," and "Alphabet St." are worth having. So 21% of the 14 tracks. lol

I still have all the music in my iTunes library. For the record, that album sucks.

I'm just asking people's opinions on the book. We're the photos good, interesting, etc? I don't remember a fucking thing about it.

I wasn't too impressed with the photographs tbh. I mean they're nice and all but none of them are iconic by any means.

.

it's too bad you can't find your book & CD but there isn't much you are missing out on if that's some sort of consolation

I found that Jon Bream book on ebay and almost bought it (for a comparatively high but still somewhat decent price compared to other sellers) but I´m glad I didn´t buy it. I read an online pdf of it ( I actually found it by accident while looking for second hand bookstores) , read it and was suprised that Prince bought the rights to it in order to prevent further releases.

I mean, why? There´s nothing earth shattering or any info in that book that was even remotely too intimate.

But, then again, the book came out in the early 80s and I guess not that much was known about Prince back then, and the book also contains some of the first published highschool pictures of Prince. So maybe that´s the real reason he bought the rights to it.

Hmv had loads a few years back on sale for 3 quid, so I bought 2 copies. One is still sealed. There are used ones for 18 quid on amazon uk.

The book was a huge disappointment. Overly-Photoshopped photos, and even the content of the photos didn't feel like "Prince" to me.

I gave the book away to a fellow Orger and kept the CD, which admittedly I don't listen to much. I probably played it 2-3 times total.

The CD isn't entirely terrible, but it just feels like such a missed opportunity. He did so many great shows during that 21-day stint. I love the bootleg collections. The official Indigo Nights CD doesn't capture the greatness, in my opinion.

The book is pretty lame though. Especially when compared to something beautiful like The Sacrifice of Victor.

The Sacrifice of Victor is a great book. Track down a copy!

In terms of boots, start with Indigo Nights. Or just Prince, Josh, and Cora! That one rules.
