Yeah I was def. NOT feeling the cemetary montage. AT ALL. Strange choice for a tribute. Weak as F*CK as far as I'm concerned.

I also wasn't feeling Madonna sitting on his throne. If anything, NO ONE should have been sitting on his throne. Bothers me....

I love Madonna and I've been a fan of her music since I was 9 years old, but I kinda wish they would've picked a different song for her to sing. Her performing NC2U didn't move me as much as fDeluxe's tribute a few weeks ago. THAT video moved me to tears and I don't think it can be topped.

When Stevie came out on stage, then I got emotional. I got to see him live in Pittsburgh this past October and I love and respect that man. He's one of my heroes. I was singing along to Purple Rain and feeling the moment.

If anything ever happened to these two great artists, I'd be equally as devastated as I've been the past month.

I agree. What was up with the old cemetary pics and large word DEATH mixed in???? There are a million photos that could have been used.

Madonna wanted a "dead" scene so she'd be the one noticed and stopped while Prince photos were up.

If I wasn't a fan and was just judging by the photos I wouldn't think he'd done anything since the 90's.

I'm pissed. I wasted 3 hours watching people lipsink who have no talent except sex appeal. Prince was right. There aren't many "artists" left. This just compounded my grief for me.

Madonna did a great job.Her outfit was beautiful.The only thing about these types of tributes is that they're hard to do after a death.The only person that ever did well was eltonjohn englands rose.By aug they will all prob be invited to pay their respects.

As echoed before , the opening was a trainwreck with Brittany who - looked to be just walking thru the performance lip syncing ...

Then Justin did the same thing almost .... so odd ...

The weekend said a few nice things about Prince ...

and there were 2 decent performances i would say ...

The Prince thing didnt work for me ... at least Madonna was trying to sing and not lip sych it ... it is a tough song for her voice ... nice to see Stevie but would rather have seen some of the Time or Sheila E or even Larry G ...

Wow. I'm a wreck after that. I had never liked "Nothing Compares 2 U" before, but seeing Madonna sing that song with those images in the background made me weep like a baby. I know some people will complain, but this fan was very moved and touched by this tribute.
