The tweet was the last straw for me. She has no class, no respect. I have none for her. Then she turns it around making it sound like someone put a gun to her head to do this performance! Give me the Disney production crew, a panel of org members, in put from close friends and I'll make it happen, Madge. Don't tempt me!

I unno...check out Natalya's cover of Free Urself. It maynot b everyones cup-o-tea. I sounds very different than the original. IMO, its quite beautiful.

The only problem is that the vocal is a good performance, but it seems to have been recorded poorly.

It took me about 2-3 listens to really get into this but now I love it. I also liked the Grenadine track that Prince tweeted months ago.

It looks like she is standing in an elevator too. I couldn't stand her before so this just gives me even more reasons.

I'm pissed. I wasted 3 hours watching people lipsink who have no talent except sex appeal. Prince was right. There aren't many "artists" left. This just compounded my grief for me.

Was I the only one who half expected Prince sitting in the throne chair when it turned around??? I would have prefered Madonna not sitting in it, but standing next to it and instead of singing right away simply saying something to effect that there is NO ONE who could fill his place or be worthy to sing his music, but that she loved and respected him, how he paved the way, etc. Perhaps then she could have gotten off a little easier.

If our Beloved had been sitting in that chair when it turned around I would have passed out cold on the floor. God I miss him.

Which now makes me suspect of her motivation for that wack ass tribute. Her happy ass sitting on a thrown, as to say she's queen now and singing NC2U more like Sinead's version than Prince's.

I suspected her motivation from jump because Billboard didn't ask her to do a tribute. It was her people who contacted them.

What makes you think it's an elevator, and not simply the corner of a room? Every elevator typically has a railing on the back wall or side walls, where's the railing? If she wanted to give the impression she's in an elevator, she would have had the picture taken in an actual elevator. Nothing in that picture gives any indication of an elevator.

She sounded mindful of the "no covers of songs he sang" rule, and there's more tributes to come into next Grammys, Oscars, VMAs, etc... it's not over yet.

For some reason what bothered me about her performance was the cane.

More importantly, her tribute incorporated all major symbolism themes that are the basis of her most defining body of work "Like a Prayer" which Prince helped her with -though he's uncredited.

But there are quite a few other resources that document how Prince and Madonna were/are forever intertwined -yes,Prince had the vocal talent but there was no other singer as gutsy as Prince other than Madonna.

She too deserves compassion -they shared quite a few secrets like a prayer. She may actually be feeling some survivor guilt. And it wouldn't surprise me if the two of them hadn't popped some pills together though they both chose to focus on being healthy, religious and spiritual later in their lives.
