also, after Michael died I totally changed in what i said and never again wrote anything here that was mean spririted and really just didn't fit in here after that. I hated to see all the negativity and whining. Here we had a thoroughbred and he ran himself into the ground for his craft and art and usually it was underappreciated. Even now we have people running around on the site trying to say that he hadn't done anything good in decades. Absurd! Michael taught me to cherish Prince and i did it the best I could.

Hello, all!
This is my first post - but I have been following this thread (and the links within it) with interest.
Forgive my being so bold as to interject - but I don't think Mr 7 could be Prince (perhaps someone writing on his behalf, or just with vast amounts of knowledge). I say this because he uses British English spellings and colloquialisms (the use of 'u' in 'rumours', for example; the use of 's' instead of 'z'; saying, 'cheers' - there are many more)!
I hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected, given the circumstances...

Exactly what I thought.

Thats exactly what I was going to say. Maybe he had a British publicist or something. But to be honest, Mr7 didnt come accross as sycophantical as someone like KCool does, and we know he wasnt Prince. I think Mr7 was simply a superfan and a JW.

i remember we posted a pic of the parade tour of him all shiny, the next day it was on his instagram.

I don't think he posted, I think he just lurked. I reckon Mr7 was from the uk too. Kinda makes me wish I'd of posted in PM&M more now. Too much bickering between the haters & sycophants put me off tho i mainly lurked. Kept most of my posting to GD, wonder if he lurked with us nuts in GD "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

Perhaps, but Im sure he must have been involved in the religious arguments going down in the P&R forum though.

^ I used to wonder about that too. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

Reading Mr7 's posts ... just makes me miss him ..

I actuallyl don't think that Mr7 using british slang, spellings etc....proves it wasnt Prince or a staffer. If anything it proves how dedicated to the role of average orger that he was trying to play. Posting as a nonAmerican wouldve been pretty damn genius. little things to throw everyone off the scent. and being that he had spent a lot of time in the UK for various reasons it makes sense that he ccould pass in that way.. still waiting for someone to explain why that profile is unsearchable lol we can see all its posts but the profile itself is totally hidden. Im not buying it. Not only would he have to know which words were spelled differently and which werent, he also have to know the slang. At the same time he would have to remember to type it correctly at speed in the midst of a conversation. Not only that, he would also have to remember not to use 2 instead of to, eye instead of I, 4 instead of for etc. He was a musical genius, he wasnt rain man.

We will probably never figure out which user Prince was and it's probably best that way. [Edited 5/18/16 6:59am]

We Canadians spell things the British way, too. I can think of one extremely prominent Canadian on P's staff...

This doesn't involve the org, but back in 2006, when he was due to present at the Oscar's, some folks at the NPGMC said (in one of the forums - probably U Smell Us), "Wouldn't it be cool if Prince gave us a sign at the Oscars? Like...what if he touched his nose? Yo, Prince - touch your nose so we know you hear us! Pleeeeeease touch your nose!"
When he was presenting, he sort of brushed his hair to the side, which caused endless debate about whether that was the "nose touch." People were posting screen grabs and it was all, "He touched his nose!" "What are you - blind? He just brushed his hair aside."
Shortly after that, he recorded the video for Black Sweat. And while the shoot was going on, someone at Paisley was posting pictures from the shoot. Again, people said, "Prince, give us a sign! Touch your nose in the video!" And when it came out - lo and behold - he touched his nose not once, but three times! I thought people were going to lose their damn minds. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

. Yep...and it wouldn't surprise me either if Prince didn't have an account. IMO even if he did have one I don't think he would have posted. . Lots of people over the years have posted in 'Prince speak' and made their statements sound like something Prince would say, it doesn't mean that it's him

My thoughts, too! I have to admit, though, that I was very convinced for a while until I got to that damn "rumoUrs" line. At any rate, reading the comments posted here, Mr7 seemed like a really interesting person, that's for sure. In my heart, I know you're somewhere laughing in the purple rain...

Ooh, good point! I didn't even think of that!
Lol I'm new here, reading through these posts like I've been here for AGES. It's all so much fun...the guessing and whatnot. It helps when dealing with the pain of losing him, you know? In my heart, I know you're somewhere laughing in the purple rain...
