I'm quite a fan of Sinead's music, which I think is mostly brilliant, but unfortunately she's a complete lunatic.

Why on God's earth she would feel the need to vent (made-up) dirty laundry on Prince (and Arsenio...?) right now is beyond anyone's rational imagining, but Sinead clearly hasn't been rational for decades.

She had one hit in the States which, for those of us in the States, is really all that counts.

She has a long documented history of mental illness. Her own kids do not have a relationship with her. It's kind of sad that the media is giving her attention for these outlandish things she's said knowing this information. In that FB rant, she also said that Arsenio drugged her drink years ago.

What was with the other story? The one where she says Prince punched her? I mean, seriously? The only hit she ever had was Prince's song, you would think she would be grateful..

I feel really bad for Sinead - it's quite obvious that she's not well. I really hope she gets the help she needs, because it's awful to go through the sort of mental torment she has obviously been going through.

Okay, don't try to make it look like Sinead isn't a great songwriter because she is. Her best album is the first one (The Lion & the Cobra), which is entirely self-written, as is the (enormous selling) second one, minus "Nothing Compares".

Actually, covering 'Nothing Compares 2 U' is probably the worst thing that ever happened to Sinead because it made her a huge star (briefly) in the USA, which killed her and made her (more) nuts. Ther are people who can handle mass fame on that level (Prince seemed to be one) and people who can't. Sinead falls into the latter category.

As for why she targeted him -- Arsenio says she's repeatedly said she met Prince a couple times and she "detested" him. She also says she told Prince "to go f*** himself." Arsenio implies this is par for the course with Sinead, saying she is "well known for her media antics and for seeking attention through inflammatory Facebook posts."

Sinead OWES her relevance to PRINCE and the POPE, both gave her any form of relevance, PRINCE giving her possibly one of the best songs ever, but of course Sinead had to take shots at Prince because of the women Prince had around him were not typically like her, they were Sheena and Shelia and Carmen all knockouts and here was Sinead with her ugly attitude from day one. If you don't like PRINCE hey that's cool but just keep yourself in check, first of all he just died WHY not do your whole ARSENIO is a drug dealer speech and BS years ago when it was happening, so if this was all true and YOU KNEW ABOUT IT you are a dealer or at least allowing it to happen, so you should be locked up yourself.
