TIME's on Prince was nice, but yeah, will it happen again, probably not. I'm assuming it's Elvis' Bday or something since he passed some 40 years ago, his fanbase is in their 70s plus. It's just annoying digging through all the tab trash looking for the decent stuff.

You should be able to find the Essence & Rolling Stone Collector's Edtions at your local Walgreens. [Edited 5/26/16 15:27pm]

I agree, very tasteful, classy and touching. Did anyone get this copy of the New Yorker? Is there much of a tribute to Prince? I might get it anyway because of the cover.

Although they did a moving job with the (Purple Rain) cover, the New Yorker tribute inside is very, very small.
I enjoyed the Conde Nast commemorative tribute, many older interviews with or about him that I had never seen or read before. [Edited 5/27/16 16:04pm] I'm in the news again

Went to Barnes & Nobles for RS. Almost pulled my hair out because all I saw in the zillions of magazines was the RS Special Editions for The Rolling Stone Mick and 'em, The Eagles one and one with Oscar Issac, leaving dejected I went to the counter with the 2 books I had and there it was Look into my eyes (and armpit} Back

7 mags in. I've never seen Q anywhere here so I guess that'll have to be a chance thing.

So what other commemorative issues should we assume are in the pipeline? Would be nice if Billboard did a complete issue -- not just a few pages. Rolling Stone (non-commemorative issue -- bought 2 because it's my all-time favorite photo of Prince) Conde Nast (commemorative issue) Rolling Stone (commemorative issue) Newsweek (commemorative issue) Vanity Fair (unsure if commemorative issue or not -- does anyone know? Also, it is French so good luck on that) [Edited 5/28/16 1:27am]

Sort of a tribute. Prince in Hip Hop through the ages (something I always thought he sucked at - he was too original): https://backinthedaybuffe...ed-prince/ I'm looking out for a purple dolphin.

Unfortunately we did not get most of those magazines here in Portugal. I got one local music magazine that did a whole publication on Prince and a friend has sent me a Billboard issue. [Edited 5/30/16 2:10am]

Here I found the free digital edition of Pump it up magazine with Prince on the cover. Nothing new or really that essential but it's free and puts the main man on its magazine cover. https://issuu.com/ledelit...2F35968907 [Edited 5/30/16 6:23am]

On Memorializing PrinceIn April the entire world stopped to grieve the passing of a genius who was unapologetically ours. Now it's up to us to be stewards of his legacy.Photo by David Bowman
Some moments are without precedent. Those singular instances that are unlike anything that came before them. On the morning of April 21, the Twin Cities entered such a moment when Prince Rogers Nelson passed away at only 57 years old, and the entire world stopped what they were doing to grieve the genius who was unapologetically ours. All eyes turned to him and, by virtue of that, us. Now, as that global spotlight fades, it’s up to us to be stewards of his legacy. Because in his life, Prince wore Minneapolis on his sleeve, and in his death it’s the city’s turn to return the honor..." (SNIP) "Hold on to your souls y'all. We got a long way to go. Thank you! We love y'all!"

I just picked up the Essence and Conde Nast issues to go along with my Time and People commemorative issues. I'm curious as to how everyone plans to display/store these when finished reading? I'd hate to just file them away in the house without anyone seeing them So here I sit in my lonely room
