Yeah I agree, he was a smart guy, he may have a reason not to have left a will, maybe he didnt care what happened after he died. If he was that concerned wouldnt he have left strict instructions? Especially if he knew he was dying. I think that is what I'd most like to know, if he knew he was dying and when he got sick because that changes things. If he knew he was sick and didnt leave a will, then he probably didnt care what happened after he died.
I have been a fan since I was 17 (Im now 43). I starting posting on the org after seeing him in concert in Sydney and soon stopped posting on the org because of the constant infighting and critisms between fans over how to be a 'proper prince fan'.
I am one of those vultures trying to see as many old videos as I can of Prince in concert in the early 80s. I know I may not get another chance and I never really 'got' his old music until I saw it live and now I realise how amazing it was. I feel so privileged and love him more than ever. It is sad but it is a catharsis. It is a way of remebering him at his best too and not weak and dying and lonely with aids as everyone is saying. Surely he would have wanted people to remember him that way too?
If anything my problem is which videos do I watch before they get taken down incase there is not another chance? I dont want to miss a moment. Im sad I missed so much already and hate that I took him forgranted sometimes.

Totally agree. When I heard the news, my first thought was that he had collapsed from all the hard work, lack of sleep, coupled with the strain of so many shows and having the flu. Doing two shows on the same day! Bills need to get paid and probably there's more money for his own affairs if there's no band to accompany him. Also, his perfeccionism, there was no wrong he could do, there were hardly any negative reviews for a Prince show, the man was borderline perfect on stage. Being all by himself must have been a two edge sword, both conforting and stressful. Perhaps being alone was exactly what he wanted for various reasons and that ultimately was his downfall. Less people around him means less eyes on him. I'm sure people worried about him and being alone meant he did not have to deal with advice, etc. Don't know if that makes sense to you guys...

Concerning the youtube videos:
I'm a newbie here, as you know. I'm 47 years old and work from home. I've been a Prince follower since 1984, which means he's been a part of my life for 32 years. That's a mightly long time, people. I bought all the albums, some in duplicate. All the movies, all the official live concerts, the lot. [Edited 4/30/16 6:30am] [Edited 4/30/16 6:31am] [Edited 5/1/16 3:14am]

What changes in his features? I agree he looks older and maybe tired in some pics, but that's all. I honestly did not see that. It's even sadder if he was indeed ill on top of everything else.

You know Prince was always a beautiful artist physically and I do believe that it bothered him to get older/I dont know if he could accept the changes. He was always skinny so that didnt surprise me, but the changes in his face did. People would always complain about him "sucking in his cheeks on here" but he wasn't they were just naturally starting to sink in. His face in general looked more stressed and just not healthy and his skin to me looked more lack luster like the essence that made him Prince was gone. I know people will argue and say it was 57, but there was something else going on there not just normal aging. And it happened quickly like within a span of three, four years.

CNN reported earlier that opiates were found on his body. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

You sound incredibly self-important. You don't care if they're fans or not. x_x

It is not only ridiculous, it is arrogant to override Prince by doing something he could have done (left instructions for) and deliberately chose not to do, as far as we know. And it doesn't show knowledge either, since such requests are only to be filed by the copyright holders. [Edited 4/30/16 12:02pm]

I know TMZ digs up dirt on everybody, but they do seem particularly relentless on Prince right now.

It's said that rigor mortis sets in about 2-6 hours after death. Horrible to think about I know.

Yes, that's what I thought.... we just don't know how far into the process he was... If I recall correctly, the chef who dropped off his last meal said in an interview, however, that Prince had not eaten his dinner.

They don't make Lortab anymore. I have a feeling they were lying. They would have to have folded over the leaflets to see what the medications were. Walgreens takes privacy very seriously, too, so I don't think a worker snitched either. Walgreens would not dispense Lortab's new version Norco with Percocet. It is not uncommon to see people on Xanax, Ambien and Norco. I am not promoting it, but it common and does not usually cause people issues if taken as prescribed.

Many of the "news" reports do not make sense from a medical point of view. I'm waiting for the final autopsy results (if we actually get them) before I believe ANYTHING.
He has been looking 'off' lately but he has been going non-stop for 30+ years so I kind of chalked it up to him being nearly 60.

It would be typical Prince to have his lawyers hold off on coming forward with a will allowing his family members show their true colors and then BAM out comes the will.LOL [Edited 4/30/16 21:13pm] _______________________________________________

I bought all the albums, some in duplicate. All the movies, all the official live concerts, the lot. This describes me exactly, what a strange coincidence, I also suspect our first names are the same. My sister bought me my first Prince album because she noticed that it was the only music I ever sung along to on the radio. I've bought other music, but nothing else has ever had the impact as Prince. Many times I can remember listening to his albums, and sometimes songs, over and over again. A lot of the music grew on me over time, rather than being instantly great, but that seems to be the way the best music is. Maybe in a few years some of his latest albums will be that way too?

TMZ are making up for lost time. Prince never gave them any scandals to feast on in life, so they are trying to tarnish his name after his death. Sad bastards.
CNN reported there were opiates (spelling?) found on his body. Really? Wow, that's some amazing investigative journalism right there! The man suffered immensely from hip pain, probably even ankle and feet problems, so what did they expect to find, skittles???!!! [Edited 5/1/16 3:30am] [Edited 5/1/16 3:32am]

At this point there are coming news articles of what Prince may have died of several times a day. Reading some of the rumors are just heart-aching. For me I will wait until the final results of the autopsy is ready. In the meantime I just play his music and watch his videos, and just appreciate what he gave us.

Hmm. If there was no will, or anything similar, how were they able to tell Prince wanted his body to be cremated?

Tons of BS floating out there. It appears to be a smearing of Prince taking effect. Sheila E tried to stem the effects by telling the world about his hip/knee/and ankle problems.
