It still makes me smirk to see Prince walking down the corridor pre-Tokyo, doing the high kick and being so self absorbed at how awesome he is that he misses the exit and has to double back as someone points it out to him. "I'm much too hot to be cool"

Too true! I like his embarrassed grin after he gets in the elevator.

Love these pics - this is how concerts once were - raw and more about music and not production of lights and smoke - it is interesting looking back on old pics. Thank you for sharing such private photos and I think you both look fab !! Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Nude Tour in London was my first gig and I was disappointed after having watched SOTT movie and Lovesexy Tour on VHS religously for two years.

Yeah, well... despite this being a "stripped down show" there was still an awful lot of lights, a lot of smoke and a shit ton of costume changes. Not the most straightforward stage set up he could have had either. [Edited 3/5/16 3:49am]

My first live P show was in Buenos Aires in 1991. The hair, the clothes and the show format was the same. But add some new unreleased songs and keyboard player Tommy Barbarella. Which made it very unique.

I have that concert on CD and the version of Nothing Compares 2 U that he played that night remains my favorite version of that song to this day. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

quick question:the CD and DVD start with the future, no intro.but didn't the shows start with "dat intro"??(the for you,1999,PR intro's)(the one at the begininig of HNR1).I'm pretty certain they did.

Nah, musically the Nude Tour pretty dull. Prince's showmanship saved it from being a disaster. The only tour that was worse was D&P. Tony single handedly ruined that one.

Other than the first three songs, I really love the Nude Tour. I hate house music, so to hear those opening songs with that annoying house music beat destroys those songs for me. "The Future" is bearable, but "1999" and "Hosequake" are just destroyed, for me, by the beat. But, by the time Prince gets to Kiss, the show is wonderful from that moment until the end. On my own DVD version I have combined the Japan and Spain shows, and I've deleted "1999" and "Hosequake," adding the opening of the Rio pre-Diamond and Pearls Show. So, again, once the show gets to Kiss, it's killer from that moment to the end, especially "Bambi," "Alphabet Street," "Do Me, Baby," "Party Man," and "Baby, I'm a Star." However, I really would have loved for "New Power Generation" to have been added to the set, which would have made the show perfect for me.

* The first time we saw this on BET, my wife thought this was the funniest and coolest thing ever. She said, "Now, there's a brother just happy to be himself and doesn't give a damn about what anyone else may think. Of course, we all knew this by this point in Prince's career, but this footage was just more affirmation.

It's fascinating to see him strut down the corridor pre-show, with all the energy coursing through him as he prepares to be the centre of attention. Such confidence for a wee man. "I'm much too hot to be cool"
