With a rent-a-cop like the entity that was referenced to, one can hopefully easily make them jump through whatever to make sure they are a) real and legit as internet stuff is actually easily faked b) actually representing the rightsholders c) the rightsholders mentioned are actually rightsholders

Once this chain is completely exposed, on paper, then, and only then you mention you found that your wifi was still open after that LAN-party at your place a few weeks ago and will password it again. (i.e.: no more seeding torrents)

Not that torrent seeding is an actual problem where I appear to be alive.

I ran it over several FLAC sources (most likely lossless from Tidal) and it always flags these 2 songs as non CDDA.

I wonder if the real CD has these songs (probably) sourced from MP3 as well.

If true then this is the single most fkd up thing about this entire clusterfk of a release. I like the album and I like that we get a CD but what's the point if some of it is sourced from crappy lossy files. It's not only unprofessional, it's borderline deceptive.

Is Audiochecker an accurate trustworthy resource? I ask because once upon a time I participated in a lossless only bootleg trading site and one of my uploads was flagged as lossy. The thing was, it was my own rip from a silver CD that was released in 1992, long before MP3 compression was prevalent. Whatever software that identified the disc as sourced from lossy was not able to discern the difference between comression due to MP3 conversion and intentional compression used to clean up unwanted frequencies in the original source material.

This needs to be further explored...

Totally agree. I don't even want to contribute to validating this way of doing business. Prince has been killing off any possible normal way of distrbuting his music to the point that it's a pain in the ass for his fans to purchase it. The high prices resulting out of the mix of a small US shop needing to ship his CDs all over the world is the price WE pay. Not him.

At the moment I'm beyond caring if it becomes a collector's item or not. Honestly, the way he treats his business partners and fans is offensive. If he doesn't want to do the effort and pay for his music to be enjoyed by other people, fine... He can keep it.

Yeah, getting it to Ireland seems pricey - it gives it as international shipping and spending more money on post than the CD itself is ridiculous. Who would have thought sending something to Ireland - which in theory is closer than most of the rest of Ireland is so expensive

I ordered mine on Friday, Jan. 29 from Electric Fetus. I got an immediate email confirmation, but after a week with no shipping notice and my credit card not being charged, I emailed and asked for an update on the status of my order. I got a very prompt reply saying they were a bit overwhelmed with Phase 2 and Judith Hill CD orders, but that my order was indeed still pending and would ship this week. I got a shipping notification email today, Feb 8.

I think it's a case of this being a small shop not used to dealing with a deluge of online orders to ship out. For them, even a few hundred orders seem a bit overwhelming.
