What you're left with if having a standard record contract:
1 000 000 copies * 2 USD = 2 000 000 USD (18 000 000 USD for the record company)

There's a huge difference between bad contracts and good distribution deals though.

Let's say he used Universal to distribute his music with a 80/20 deal. He'd get his 16 000 000 usd. But wouldn't want to see Universal make 4 000 000 out of something that he "birthed". Even though he would make more money with promotion and distribution through a bigger company, he would see a higher percentage of the money go to other people than himself.

Glad to hear your cd is being shipped. I ordered a copy on the 27th, but each time I go to track my order status I get the same 'Your order is being prepared' message. No talk of anything being shipped. I would be interested to know when people who ordered through TDG receive their goods.

I ordered on the 27th also. The email said my order had been shipped. When I follow the tracking code it says a label has been prepared. So whatever all that means. Anyway it's working its way here I'm guessing it may come on Tuesday or Wednesday
