Prince said nearly a year and a half ago that the PR remaster he gave to WB was the "EXACT SAME ALBUM" only with the volume turned up. So we do know for a fact, that there was no attempt to edit Purple Rain by Prince.

That's why I'm very interested in HNR2. It sounds like Prince went back to his standard modus operandi, but informed by a couple of years of trying different things with younger people. From that era, we got AOA and a couple of great songs from HNR1 and the 3EG singles/record -- yes with a good share of not so great songs but all the same. the lows were what they were, the highs ARE what they are.

He's done a better job at keeping me interested, so I'll be looking forward to HNR2.

It was originally released on a streaming site and the physicals didn't come till later. If they were after sales, this wouldn't have been the strategy.

As for critics list, since when do they mean anything? I'm willing to bet most of them will put Adele on it and her album is utter, utter, shite.

We Live 2 Get Fucnky would be the weakest link so far. I hope we get this album, though. It looks promising.
