5 Star Ratings Proposal... Perhaps this already exists somewhere on the site, but, how about an easy to access link where the members of Prince.org rate each album on the five star scale (with half stars allowed). Simply rate each album, if you change your mind at some later date or new members join, log in, re-rate. One of you hacker-types could write the code and each album would have an aggregate, live-updated rating by the members of the site for curiousity's sake. This would (in my world) be an easy to access area of the site, perhaps with a "button" on the homepage that you'd click on to see simple ratings of each album. I don't think it should get any busier/more complicated than that (individual songs, live performances, EPs etc.) although, if someone was way into that sort of thing be my guest-- BUT-- a simple, clean area of the site where members and visitor's alike could access the community assessment (five star style) of each album. Now that I've repeated myself fifty times-- how 'bout it? And P, how about a song called "5 * Style" ? Ha. | |

Thanks for replying, guys. Any of you more active members think of a way to get more support behind this simple request? My "vision" is a picture of the album cover with the star rating next to it. Simple, clean, available. Special thanks to BillyMeade. Also, the lists some of you provided were really great (especially the side projects inclusions like App6 and Andy Allo etc. I'd consider them fair game, although, somehow differentiated from the core list of "official" Prince releases --much the way databank did with Boldface). Also, technically, a 5 star rating which includes the use of 1/2 stars is, technically, a ten point scale, just depicted a little more classically in regards to music reviews. I think this idea ain't bad and as a community, it'd be nice to have a place where visitors and members alike can see what kind of consensus exists, here. Thanks, again. Anyone orgnote a mod, for me?
