Interesting album. I'd rank it among one of my favorite Prince albums. My favs are Love 2 the 9's (minus the rap. I really hate that part) Blue Light,Sweet Baby,Morning Papers,And God Created Woman and Damn U is a ok ballad. I guess I'm always looking for that super long seductive bald on the scale of Do Me Baby, Adore or Insatiable. His 3 best ballads imo. Oh well, I guess he can't or shouldn't do that all the time.

starkitty	i really like blue light, in that it gets to the tedium of a relationship and seems somewhat resigned, but is still a cool, mellow reggae-fied track. . i do take issue with morning papers: . why is age more than a number when it comes 2 love? . because it is, prince, and you know why.

not weirdness. music and rock and roll star-time. the last great rock n roll star. the symbol album will be remembered after we're dead. and yes, u haven't discovered how good it is yet, listen some more. i just wish the rap on l2t9s wasn't there, but maybe i'm close-minded, who knows. if this was an lp, i would even remove my name is prince. that doesn't mean it's not a great cd.

Superfan1984	I have recently been playing this album nonstop when I'm in the car. It's amazing and every time I listen to it I am blown away by it. I don't think I appreciated it as much when it first came out as I do now.

Top-notch album. "Love 2 The 9s" is just fantastic; it never loses it's flavor. "The Morning Papers" is an instant classic. "My Name Is Prince" was pretty derrn hot when it came out. He sang the heck out of "7" (love that bass line!) and "Damn U". "Three Chains O' Gold" is weird and theatrical. "I Wanna Melt With U" is sleek, tight and slightly ominous with a killer beat. "The Max" is the max. I almost blew my ears out listening to that track on repeat LOL. "Arrogance" always gets me moving, P. wildin' out. "Blue Light" has a nice groove, an interesting and rare foray for P. into reggae sounds, but notable for the maturity in the lyrics, not being the usual romantic or passionate ballad, but a reflection on a relationship out of balance. I didn't take much notice of it at first, but In the long run my favorite from the album became "Sweet Baby" for its emotion, the message, the sheer beauty of the composition and Prince's singing.

sure that kind of censorship would not had happen in the country I live in, in Denmark/ Europe.

The naked body is taboo, a sin well to some here on the Org - and over there (in the US)...

Isn't this the exact same factor that made the Lovesexy album - with the naked Prince - into a hit in Europe (#1 in the UK), but this factor also made it a failure in America.... some could not handle a nude pic.. (?)

In general its so strange imo that the female naked body (and the male) is a sin to show, and yet the americans are showing deadly violence every evening in the news and also in nearly every hollywood movie, violence has become entertaintment. And then there is an upraor from religios groups and conservatives (non-liberals), whenever a nipple is shown..
