After one week.... do you like HITNRUN more or less?

Simple question. Seems like it's growing on a lot of people who weren't sure at first. I liked it a lot on first listen, and now I think I like it even more.

I like it more. X's face, 1000Xs&Os, Hard Rock Lover and June are very good, even classic. I'm getting more used to the other tracks now, even starting to like Like a Mack!

The Album is a grower....I rated it 7.5/10 initially. Now after listening to it again and again it's 8.0/10. I'm really really having fun when I listen to this album.

I've lost interest in it for it those past few days.

Let's see what happens next, but i suspect I won't be too mpuch into it at any point in the future.

On the other hand I felt like that with PE in 2007 and later rediscovered it, so anything is possible, but there are many other records I feel more like listening to now than HnR.

well I became quickly bored with the album since I only found about 4 song's that I liked. The album is way to short and I hate that there's remixes on it, makes it not feel like a real album, more like an EP. I'm waiting for the real Prince album (phase 2)

The same. It's got three okay songs, none of which would be more than filler on most Prince albums. Bring on Phase 2.

I'll be honest, really didn't like it the first time I listened to it, which was just sitting on the couch with headphones on. But I was at the gym today for the first time in,well,42 years, and I put this on. And I must say it's awesome workout music! If your not sitting there examining the lyrics and cringing, but just listening to the music,it's actually alright. So props to Josh, I suppose...

More. The songs that I didn't like at first (Million $ Show, Aint about to Stop, TCBU) I've come to like quite a bit. Its an album I can put on and the songs flow well into each other.

Change it one more time..

It's growing and growing in stature for me... I think it's a great new album actually. It makes Art Official Age sound pretty tired to me... It's the freshest he's sounded in years, it's funky as hell and I love that it's brief, punchy and doesn't let up. Also doesn't take itself too seriously or try to be anything other than a fun listen. A proper pop record that's very well produced indeed. Hearing more and more detail in it each time.

I love it!

Producing the drum track and basic effects don't by themselves put a song together. For me the best work on some of the tracks doesn't come until Prince lays down the bass track, guitar and the additions of the vocal arrangements, horn or string arrangements etc. By themselves Josh's contributions don't make the songs at all all that interesting to me at least. Its what's done with them. I could imagine all of these basic tracks (with the exception of the last two, which I can't imagine someone messing up) being unlistenable in the hands of other artists.

Change it one more time..

My first impressions were not great, apart from 1000 X's & O's but I'm liking it a bit more after blasting it in the car over the last week.
.
It's nothing deep or ground-breaking just easy listening party songs that flow nicely together.

Just picked up a copy of the CD.

The only song I find listenable is June.

I'm a HUGE fan of Prince, beeen down since 1980.

I'm not going to dish hate on the music, I'm just not feeling it......

About the same. Right now i'm seeing it as a curiousity in his catalogue, we'll see where he goes from here. Call me when he cares enough about the songs to start playing them live.

Enjoying it more. On first listen was really disappointed at new, contemporary sound but am surprised at actually how much I like it now. Don't care for a few songs but think the stronger ones are actually pretty good.

This album is for sure a grower. I HATEHATEHATED it at first then after about 20 more spins and a couple days to soak it in it's definitely grown on me. I still don't find it remotely amazing I think it fits nice and snug within P's current output.

More. It's a "hey let's have some fun and not worry about the next SOTT, shall we?" kind of album, irreverent toward his legacy yet somewhat experimental (in terms of his own sound).

What I find so funny is that people who are not big on Prince seem to enjoy tracks like Fallinginlove2tonite and Mr. Nelson. They don't care the latter is not a real song,
