The album likely won't chart just off of Tidal streaming numbers, but a physical/iTunes release would put "HitNRun" on the BB200, possibly even top ten depending on the week. Streaming can make the difference between certain positions (like Madonna's "Rebel Heart" outselling the 'Empire' soundtrack but still finishing second thanks to Empire's high streaming numbers) but sales are still the biggest factor on the BB 200. That will eventually change as streaming becomes more dominant, but for now Prince is fine. His albums will chart lower (maybe top ten pure sales but only top 30 or so on the BB 200) but they will still chart. The sky hasn't quite fallen yet, Chicken Little.

Yes, HITNRUN finally charted ! Holy miracle. My bad. i bought it on day one on store.

But we are far from top 30. It shows the discrepancy between "real charts" (#34) and "streaming added charts" (#70). A difference of 36 ranks is not a little thing, especially on first week of release.

Anyway, the sales are even worst than that of AOA and PLEC ELEC last year. Maybe this week it will chart at # 130 or something. Nothing to brag about.

I should have stick to the "won't make the top 40" but I wanted to create some controversy, because nobody here except feeluup and me care about sales. But the truth is that the fanbase of Prince is about 20.000 people worldwide.

Now, I'm eager to see how things will turn for this doomed deal between jay Z and Prince.

The truth is he has a fanbase of 20,000 fans worldwide? Have you got the winning lotto numbers for wednesday please?

RODSERLING is correct that most of us do not give a damn about sales. Kudos for getting that one right.

Yes, these are about the people who bought HITNRUN worldwide on 1st week. His fanbase is decreasing year by year, we already saw that last year with te . Hell, even SCORPIONS new album released the same week made better numbers. And SCORPIONS was never as huge as Prince, even outside the USA.

Yes, that's why there are numerous topics here about things more interesting, such as the topic about the CLOUDS remix. It's childish to go on a topic to say "I don't care about that topic". This poor sales are saying that Prince is losing his fanbase day after day.

It's ok, when he has a harder time distributing his music in phsyical form since he can't push 10,000 copies anymore... Then you will start to care... In a few more years when there is little to no demand for his new material and he's not releasing it due to the sales... Then u will start 2 care.

There's already little or no demand for his new material, can't see it getting much worse. He has enough hardcore fans to keep him going if he wants to embrace a less mainstream release method, which he has proven time and time again he doesn't have any interest in.

I don't know whether he still thinks his new stuff is number 1 in the charts or if he just doesn't care as long as he gets his cash upfront. I'll support whatever he does, i'm way beyond getting frustrated at his antics.
