I think this is the weakest track on the lp. Could have done without.

Great opening track. Upbeat, makes me you want to dance. Totally understand why he got a woman to sing the vocals on this. If this was a Beyoncé song it would be all over everywhere...

No it wouldn't. And it wasn't. So it won't. It'll forever be that opener with the chick singing the silly lyrics that sound like you might be listening to not a Prince album.

"you heard the news on the internet" doesn't make sense and feels dated. should be "read the news on the internet".

At first I really disliked this one, largely because I found it irritating that the opening track of a Prince album was almost sung in its entirity by someone who wasn't Prince. It has now grown on me considerably, but my favourite parts are the Prince bits and I still wish he'd taken a verse and a chorus.

I would also have prefered it if Prince had sung it, but I see what he is doing with this album. It is a way to showcase some of his current associate artists/protegees. So basically I think this reasonably catchy tune (indeed Beyonce-like) is meant to promote Judith Hill. And honestly, she doesn't do a bad job IMO. RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
