Oh, for fucks sake, I keep listening to it. There's not one track I need to skip.

Last album I didn't skip anything on was... Err... Damn! it's the Rainbow Children. Now, I'm not saying this is better than all the albums since then, not by a long way but every one of those albums along the way has at least one track which I can't stand.

The only bit I really can't stand is near the beginning of Ain't About To Stop, there's that little Arabian bit and then it goes full on for about ten seconds. Horrid. I might be able to edit around that.

Seems that this isn't something I should to listen to on the train to work when I'm supposed to be asleep. lol

You might have a carbon monoxide leak. It's the silent killer! Get it checked out!

Well, I made it through the night, so no CO leak!

RIP sad

No expectations, only hopes.

Before: was hopeful after hearing HRL, something inspired might be on its way. Was skeptical about talk of the vault on Tidal. Prince's idea of releasing "the vault" probably differs from my own.

After: Hope I never hear Josh Welton's name or "work" again. Hamming it up w/that opening mega mix? CRINGE. The vault appears to be nothing more than NPGMC reissues, material that I've never found compelling.

Others have noted, to be fair, there were PLENTY of signs this wasn't going to go well...

so he talks about never looking back, doesn't care about past works, etc., but every concert is a greatest hits medley (bc we don't like the new stuff).

[btw a playthrough concert of parade would be so amazing, but i'm fantasizing here. omg, crystal ball or dream factory. anyway.]

so maybe he releases this crazy nonsense as a FU to counter his resentment at having to play hits.

And opens it with a montage of past hits?

BEFORE: "Hey guys, don't get your panties in a wad. I've found at least one classic on every Prince album, and usually more than one. I fully expect that will be the case with HitnRun, too".

AFTER: How could I be so wrong? That album is horrible IMO. God Bless You if you like it. But ZOMG do I hate it. I never want to hear anything from it, ever again. And I never, ever, ever want to hear Josh Welton's name again for as long as I live.

expected: It's going to be a Josh album, and judging by the TCBU remix, it's going to be terrible
actual: It's a Josh album and it's not terrible, but certainly not my thing.
