This was Lovesexy era. I had this poster. Definitely long before these other shots. Don't know who shot it though.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Not the facial hair Prince was sporting at the time though

In 1988/89/90 for the most part he either was always seen with a clean face or a semi-beard.
Do you have any other information about this. As far as Prince posters and photographs from the Lovesexy period I had pretty much all of them lol I don't remember this one from that period.

Orig. 1992 PRINCE signature on Herb Ritts’ book page "Notorious"

Prince has stopped signing autographs for his fans many years ago. It is assumed that this has to do with his becoming a Jehovah’s Witness by the late 1990s.

The signature on sale here, however, stems from late 1992. Prince gave it to his dancers „Diamond and Pearl“ in Los Angeles. They later passed it on to their friend Mark Moralez, who in turn sold it to me through his company, The Hollywood Circuit in May 2004. Moralez included a signed certificate of authenticity; this document is going to be included with the sale of Prince’s autograph now.

Throughout his career, Prince has usually signed with just his first name, Prince, omitting his second name, Rogers, as well as his surname, Nelson. He went by his full name only when signing checks or official documents, contracts and the likes. Instead, he started to add the words, „Love God“ very early in the 1980s. From 1993 through 1999, a bunch of signatures with nothing but the „symbol“ were given away. Ever since, it’s back to „Prince“, although he clearly seems to avoid having to sign anything at all these days. Prince’s reluctance to give autographs has led to extremely high prices fetched in auctions whenever anything authentic goes on sale.

The signature here is a rare combination of both, his given name, "Prince", as well as the words „Love God“ AND the trademark symbol.

A 5-pound, 168-page coffee table photo book "Notorious" by photographer Herb Ritts, who died in 2002, was published in 1992. Prince’s signature comes on a strong and heavy page from said book.

Hight: 38,2 cm = 15.3 inches
Width: 29,7 cm = 11.9 inches

German collectors, the size of this page is almost DIN A3!

The size of Prince’s signature ALONE („Love God – Prince“, written in black Edding) is:

6.6 inches x 2.4 inches

Or you own Prince’s greatest hits CD The Hits where Herb captures the artist in exquisite profile? See, without knowing it, you were influenced or inspired by Herb’s work too.

Prince – Original album cover art for The Hits 2 album

The ORIGINAL photograph of Prince used for the album cover for his album "The Hits 2." Taken by the late, legendary photographer Herb Ritts, this shows the entire image that was cropped tightly on Prince's face for the album. Measuring 11" x 14" it is in perfect condition (with some notes on the reverse) and probably worth more than we're asking as an original Herb Ritts print. I was the art director for this album (and a number of other Prince albums) and will write a detailed letter of authenticity relating the history of the creation of this album cover to accompany this amazing Prince collectible. Unique !

Beautiful photos

All his albums should just be photos of him,

do away with the cheesy "art" covers, and hire top notch photographers cool

The picture appears in the JULY 1990 issue of Sky Magazine, so it does, infact, predate the 1991 shoot you insist it is from.

I'm not arguing with anyone, and I welcome input from everyone.
I can update the dates and information. Can you provide any direct info for me to go off of?
Do you have any information on who photographed it, where did it come from etc etc

There are 2 photo shoots I'm suggesting they are from? 1 is connected with the Hits Cd, the other is a random photoshoot. Do you have any information to share?
