Different opnions sorry..... but I really don't like it at all, the sound is terrible..

I skip this song from The Dawn 3cd, it is not on my playlist.

(And I think it is the only song I don't like from that era 1993-1995/6)

Since I can't find the recent threads on "Free" and "Baltimore," I'll add this comment here. IMO "Free" is a much better song than "Baltimore," even though it seems like a naive anthem, which it is. That is exactly why it works so well in my opinion--the freeing factor in the song (esp. live) are Prince's soaring voice punctuating what the hopeful lyrics, backing vocals, and the building instrumentals aspire to... Everything "Baltimore" is not.

TGE is a brilliant album that would have been even better if "Days Of Wild" and "Ripopgodazippa" had made it onto the tracklist.

No, old...and apparently yet another source to share with friends has dried up... The CD is entitled 12 Inches To A Yard. A nice find...if you can still find it.

I don't have it, Princevault doesn't acknowledge its existence and it was definitely not an official release. I suspect it's a fake.

but the 12 Inch to a Yard releases don't have Ripopgodazippa on them, in any version
that's why i thought it was probably a mix up of songs. or it's just some fake fanmade
version that someone stuck onto that download that purplethunder3121 got, perhaps...

Ahhh, if only a movie could make me laugh as hard as Showgirls did back then. And that it had some Prince jams in it just made me love it more.

Ripopgodazippa is great tune, and was sort of a cool left turn for him, stylistically, back then.

This is one brilliant tune. Really makes me giggle and smile. The lyrics are pretty durned clever.

The horns are outragious. Wish we still had those horns.
