Prince : NEW ALBUM: The Hit & Run

Josh is involved again, so I kind of think this is a good thing.


I wonder when it will officially be released. I mean, we're well into summer now, and about to start the dog days of summer.

Positive signs:

* Josh is co-producing

* The album is completed and was already played publically

* Looks like Prince is back to frequent releases

Worries:

* it's going to suck

* Prince is going appear in public with another 18 year old girl whose career will be affected negatively

* Larry Graham might publically surface again with his big ass moustache



Your thoughts?

From the housequake FB page: NEW ALBUM! 'The Hit & Run' coming 'soon'...

BBC 6music radio had an exclusive interview with 3rdEyeGirl this morning (or seemingly just Hannah) in which they revealed a new album has been completed by Prince & Josh entitled 'The Hit & Run'. Hardrocklover is from that album and the album was played in full at the recent Obama event apparently. More details to follow. Check out the BBC iPlayer (if UK resident) to hear the interview.

BBC6 announced it. Anymore details known.

Hit n Run makes me think of a live album.

Hopefully it's out soon, before the end of August.

Well all new Prince music is welcome, so looking forward to hearing more. One or two gems would be nice as usual... cool

That new version of This Could B Us is really cool, great guitar and bass towards the end, plus funky guitar to finish the song.

Im probably hella late but Whoever that AlyJaMesLaB person is, they get down. One of the best Prince sounding persons that ive ever heard.

Maybe im confused but the same link that newpowersoul posted, i just got off of Facebook. It was playing some instrumental jam. Like i said though, im probably confused about what's playing. It is almost 3AM lol.

I'm not entirely sure how Josh producing is a positive sign, but I look forward to the new album none the less - especially if HARDROCKLOVER is anything to go by.

When I seen the title I thought it would be a live album. You could be right - it maybe the title track of the album. I like Hardrocklover so looking forward to this. Lets see when/if it actually happens tho....

When I saw the title I right away thought of Prince's lovelife, so maybe the album will be autobiographical and answers some of the pressing that have been asked on the board lately.

I don't need a Prince live album.. they usually sucks (like the one from London in 2007 - with the book - and the One Nite Alone boxset, both yuck)..

Therefor: let's hope for some good studio music instead,

just imho.... wink

I liked the songs on AOA with Andy Allo and she'd be good on this but she's out the picture so most likely be one of: Hannah, Judith Hill, Marrisa Jack or Danielle Curiel who tweeted about being on a remix recently

Great news to wake up to this morning!

The title is kinda lame but HRL is not!!! So let's hope he delivers the goods.

The only thing to worry about is the girls saying hit after hit...I somehow doubt it

Excited to hear the revamped version of TCBU and to finally get 1000 hugs included!!
