Prince in Judith Hill's EPK

Go check out Judith Hill's EPK on Tidal. Some Paisley Park in there. Looks like Back in Time will have a proper release on NPG Records this fall, too.

And Prince appears in the final scene right after the Cry, Cry, Cry video.

Thanks for the heads-up - just watched this on Tidal. Really enjoyed it. Pretty cool that Prince left Judith Hill the limelight, only appearing at the very end. cool. Let's hope her album does get a proper release - it deserves that. cool

Just Googled "Judith Hill EPK"... no results. What is this? A music video from an electronic press kit?

EPK = Electronic Press Kit: a video package of interviews and performances to promote an album (you used to be able to see some old EPKs from the Paisley Park era from Eric Leeds and T.C. Ellis on YouTube).

The video is on TIDAL on the subscriber homepage.

the ending is funny, I thought the begining of her walking up to PP was cool too & talking to him on the intercom. the whole thing was put together pretty nicely, plus I like her album a lot

The thing is...if you look at the beginning, she pulls and pulls on that door trying to get in. But to actually get in, she needs to push it. lol

And I would've locked Prince out of Paisley Park, too - not to be let back in until his blacks match. hmph!

If the musical direction of Prince's next album is of the quality of Judith Hill's next album, in terms of songwriting and musicality, I hope he tours behind that album. It's an interesting paradox-the albums that Prince has produced for Andy Allo, Liv Warfield and Judith Hill are highly satisfying with smoky analog sonic textures and live musicianship and Prince's last few albums as much as I like AOA and HNR are electronic based.

omg i hadn't thought of that yet, but Back In Time is probably going to be "Phase Two" falloff

you know that in prince world that makes sense biggrin

anyway, love this album and it's nice to see that she's getting a decent release for it because
this disc deserves a wider audience than just us freaks.

Could not agree more! As pissed off as people are regarding the sound of HNR he has produced some of his finest protege work imo with these woman. Granted all the above are incredibly talented in their own right but the analog sound with real instruments real musicians is seriously in fine form with each of these awesome albums.

Funny end with him...

The whole EPK is really nice and just reminded me about how good her album is...

If Amy Whinehouse would have released Cry Cry Cry it would have been huge....
