Nothing like an announcement stating that hot air rises to get the org's knickers in a twist. To me, the announcement contained zero information other than there is an album ready called "The Hit N Run" which was later corrected to HITNRUN. Everything else was non commital bullshit. The announcement of Free Urself a month or so ago was more solid than this. At least the Free Urself announcement came with an album cover to discuss and wasnt presented by a 4 year old.

If this latest new album contains 1000 Hugs and Kisses, well, I aint that excited. And why rerecord TCBU that was only released 10 months ago? On a previously released album? Did Prince not have enough material? Has he run out of ideas? And if HARDROCKLOVER is the lead off to the album, meaning it is the most accessible and catchy tune to get the masses excited, well I aint that excited about the rest of the album. Its an ok song, but it worries me if it is the pick of the bunch to launch a new album.

Another way of looking at it is: what, you guys still get upset Prince doesn't market his albums with the military precision of Taylor Swift? Shouldn't you be, like, completely used to it by now? And you say you don't think you'll care for the songs? Then it should be a no-brainer: an album that's not marketed to your standards with songs you don't think will please you is pretty easy to ignore. No in-your-face marketing that won't let you forget it's allegedly on its way, no burning desire to hear the songs except for the chance to predictably write a rant here on the Org about how it's bullshit not worthy of his legacy.

Prince has little need for anyone's approval, doesn't care if it doesn't go triple-platinum, won't break his back promoting it to death for a few thousand more units, doesn't want to put his life on hold for months to give you a world tour and is just doing what the fuck he wants even if the way he does it annoys armchair impressarios.

i agree, went to T swift concert with daugter saturday at Gillette .Mind you bought those tickets in December for a July Show.. Janrets tickets for next March in Boston are on sale now..With that said, you all expect Prince to know what he gonna be doing in March of next year..he not that guy that does that.. Yo can say he sucks as a business man or mkt but he does what he wants and it works for him, period..I dont have to like to respect his vision
