It was my understanding that the final 1999 tour date was April 10th 1983 in Chicago, IL and that Purple Rain was not primarily recorded until the August, 1983 through March, 1984 timeframe. That is how I determined my "during" 1999 answer. Is that incorrect? I'm sourcing PrinceVault in regards to my info. A robin sings a masterpiece that lives and dies unheard...

The time after Musicology and up until he started growing the fro out is what confuses me. He wore those suits for so long. I can tell what era most pictures are from if I know the show or event he's at but otherwise it all kind of blends together. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh!
