Thank you. These days people post stuff just to see how many views they can get. Sort of like getting likes on facebook. So instead of real topics, they come up with catchy headlines. Since the media has tended to focus on race relations a lot in the past few years, people have bought it because let's face it.....most of them are sheep and believe anything they see on tv. I think Prince was talking about "albums" but if someone were to make a thread about albums, nobody would respond. Sad but true.

I'm just curious are you White or at least fair skinned? No need to answer if you feel uncomfortable. For the record colorism is as real as racism and folks deal with it every day....no media plot...no conspiracy.....no intellegensia manipulation. It just is all around the world and no focus on "humanity" as a race makes it all better. Just what I've seen, sorry to disturb your peace.

It was just rhetorical bait for the feeble minded. What he said before he said BLM was that albums and BOOKS matter — that's what the illierati totally didn't hear or get — it went way over their heads, because this is not about the corporatist mass media manipulating the public focusing on minutea (ie: ebola, isis, ferguson, BLM, terrorism) but keeping poor communities so scared and off kilter and reactionary and focussed on non issues that they fail to be able to sensibly focus on solutions to the problems that plague all poor communities.
If more poor black people focussed on reading books and bettering themselves they wouldn't become thugs like Michael Brown — who even Obama and his black Attorney General found was likely at fault in their investigation of #Ferguson. More than 40% of poor black students in the Nation's Capital failto graduate HIGH SCHOOL (high school is pretty simple); when you can't graduate high school, you can't get a good job to feed yourself, your family or afford quality housing in most vibrant urban communites. But too many poor blacks and others still don't want to hear the facts that the time has long since passed that more of them need to take resposibility for their lives, their actions, their children, families and communities and stop blaming everyone else for their failures and misery.
You get up in the moring and CHOOSE to be a thug, you deserve everything that's coming to you. Like Chris Rock and others have said many times, in various ways, "n-----s be fucking things up for everyone [even us sensible black folks]."
