If there is gonna be a Revolution reunion at the Grammys,I think they shouldn't do the predictable "Let's Go Crazy/Purple Rain/Baby I'm A Star" medley.Surprise everyone by coming out and doing a kickass version of "Computer Blue"! then launch into "When Doves Cry" and finally,"Take Me With U" with a special guest....
I have a feeling he'll perform at least one new song to promote AOA and end it with a classic Prince song. Since "This could be us" is the new single I see him doing this one with The Revolution.. Another possibily is a Revolution/3rdeyegirl performance. He could perform different songs with different bands if he gets enough time
We'll have to wait and see but I'm sure he'll perform something off his last 2 albums
[Edited 1/29/15 5:22am]
Damn it, FunkyD, you stole my idea! I could see Prince up there with two bands, one in the dark waiting until he switches songs! That would be cool! |

what if having "something very special planned" means watching the show with his feet up and a pizza on the way? |

Given that he is performing two private shows abroad this week with 3EG (London, Feb. 2; and Dubai, Feb. 4), chances seem slim of him doing anything particularly interesting or surprising that requires significant rehearsal or preparation on Feb. 8. yea, the grammy performance will be something jazzier and fun. probably with the full horns etc, which i bet he has already rehearsed numerous times, ready for the awards. The stuff this week is a bonus. |

When he opened in 2004 was that a complete surprise performance, or was there some sort of PR that he would be making an appearence? |

Eye knew had something under his sleeve!!!!!

Has it really been over 10 years since PRINCE stole the Grammy's with Beyonce? It has but you may just see him there in some capacity on music's biggest night!
According to US Magazine, a Grammy source says the music icon has “something very, very special in the works!”
Prince has won 7 Grammy's and has been nominated 33 times. Recently, Prince released "Art Official Age" and "PLECTRUMELECTRUM" on the same day.-DocFB

I'm usually the first one do put the dead horse smiley on when it comes to Revolution reunions, but I wonder, I just wonder, if this is one so many have all been waiting for? It would be the 30th anniversary of his Purple Rain grammy performance in '85, and ya just never know. |

KeithyT... I just got cursed out on the org nothing unusual there
Y'all keep hoping and praying for a performance centered on Prince... If anything I bet he appears for the tribute to Niles Rodgers. "Appears"

Very cool news
Since there is the Stevie tribute I imagine he'll participate in that but I think he's got something special planned and it's not just presenting an award.
Maybe it is in facx a Revolution Reunion to (finally) promote the anniversary. As many of mentioned the entire crew is been awfully quiet since you left social media
Sure hope whatever it is doesn't disappoint but this is P so u never know...
[Edited 1/27/15 7:37am]
If he performs it will be the Stevie tribute. The big performance of the night is suppose to be McCartney/West/Rihanna. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |

I heard King Bey is supposedly performing during the "Selma" tribute.

So with all these egos and Madonna too, in the place, I'm doubting Prince shows up, much less performs. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. |

Katy Perry has been added to the star-studded list of performers for the upcoming 2015 Grammys!
According to Billboard, the 30-year-old entertainer will sing “By the Grace of God,” an emotional ballad off her latest album Prism.
The mag reports that the performance will be “highly visual spectacle with dance elements playing a central role.”
Katy joins previously-announced performers Madonna, Ariana Grande,Kanye West, and a ton more.
Be sure to keep your eyes on Just Jared during the 2015 Grammy Awardsthis Sunday, February 8 for complete red carpet and show coverage!

SoulAlive said: so has it been confirmed that Prince is appearing/performing?. No. This whole thread is based on a unknown source that US weekly is reporting on. Prince MIGHT make an appearance according to this unknown source. Not will - might. And according to this unknown source something special is being planned. There is no mention of a performance. No mention of a Revolution reunion. All this talk orginates here on speculation.org. |
