My confusion was because there were links in other articles on other blogs, and I had missed the fact that Billboard was supposed to have an exclusive premiere (somewhat compromised by other news sources sharing the link to the video rather than to Billboard's own site). My mistake there--I just skimmed the article. What confused me was that a google search would get me to the video from multiple directions, but a search on Youtube itself wouldn't. I understand now that problem wasn't with Youtube (or with Warners promotional plan), but with other people making the link public before it was really supposed to be.

I also thought the same thing. Prince's version sounds like a proverbial middle finger to fickle fans, mean spirited hardcore fans, bitter former musical and managerial associates and critics. I hope this becomes a concert staple in 2015. I love this song.

Glad I'm not the only one having that impression. He's beendogged by some of the most ex-devoted nfans in the world. Yet his body of work proves it: he's at the top in terms of creativity and producrivity -- quality varied, and so did our idea of what constitutes quality, but Prince managed to remain true to himself better than anyone -- and make some fierce new sounds.

Art Official Age sounds even better now than it did when it came out.

I love the video. I think Boy Trouble would be a better single. Although I think Another Love

is the best song on the album.

Lyric videos are lazy and boring, unless some real thought is put into them. This one makes me think Prince is done with the project altogether. It just looks so uninspired that I can't imagine the general audience noticing or caring. It's dull.

Prince delivers slamming attitude on this jam. Authentic, Genuine and Legondary soulful Funk. Prince and Donna start shredding their guitars after the first 2 minutes into a feirce whirlwind that would rock anyones socks off. This song would be amazing to hear on the Radio

I agree the changes he made to the lyrics make Andy Allo the woman he likely was thinking about. That it's also a way of saying something else is more than likely, I just like my theory better.

I find them strangely alluring sometimes. I thought the lyric video for Cee-Lo's "Fuck You" was a whole lot more fun to watch through than the official video that came later when the song become a hit.

This one is ok. It has the SNL performance included there too.

Smart move! Doesn't make any since spending big money on a video. But realizes this is his BEST track off P.E. His vocals & instrumentation is STELLAR! It slays everything on #BlackMessiah.

I think this song is aimed at his critics and you know what, it's a stupid thing to do. First, the positive. I love Prince's reworking of the song. I much prefer the SNL version though. The album track, just isn't grouded well enough for me. I know for others, it's fine the way it is, but for me I prefer the way he shouted out the ending on SNL.

To me, both the new albums have too many clapbacks on the paying customers. It kind of ruins the experience in much the same way the CONtract and Warn-A-Brotha antics did during the SLAVE phase. Underneath a lot of the tunes are judgemental, salty, pokes-to-the-eyes at the listeners. To put it bluntly: he's acting like a BITCH on these records and it was completely unnecessary.

Dr Dre clapbacked with FORGOT ABOUT 'DRE. But he was bringing out a cultural-tour-de-force in Eminem, with him. He had Eminem writing his rhymes. Prince clapbabacked, with.... Joshua ?? I know some of you ladies may find Prince's antics cute, but as a dude, I just can't ride with it.

Agreed, even about "Boy Trouble". In fact, I figured "Boy Trouble" was a song young people might like. And maybe some young people do like it. But I played it for my 18-year-old-daughter-who-was-raised-on-Prince and she thought it was weird. And not in the good weird way.
