Dirty Mind is a top Prince album, maximum from me... just brilliant...
It's in my top 10 Prince albums, right behind PR, SOTT, 1999, Lovesexy and Parade.

Definitely in my top five and without a doubt, I prefer each song individually over all of AOA!
I agree. |

perfect in its sparseness and simplicity. I remeber peeps getting excited back when Kiss was released that Parade was a return to the striped down approach but alas no (dont get me wrong Parade is classic on its own).
Would love to hear a Dirty Mind 2.0 with an old Prince doing everything and working analog with only 8-16 tracks tops. Maybe the "Truth" came close but still would be cool.

A faultless classic. Prince kinda lost it since then, ambling from one project to the next without any clear direction. He should have ditched WB after this album and changed his name. Imagine how different his career would have been. |
