During one of those club shows where Tamar was listed as the headliner. In DC - I forget the name of the club because its gone now. Prince would rip a solo and hand his telecaster to someone in the crowd. Well on the first of 2 nights, he handed it to me. I held it as it vibrated as about 50 people jumped on my back to get it. I was standing right at the friont of the stage next to a security guard who took it from me. I can remember feeling like I didnt know what Prince wanted me to do with it - was he really giving it to a fan?! And how the fuck will I get out of here with it if he was? That was the last time I saw him live.

Wembly Arena 24th Aug 1990. Last night of the European tour & last night of the 15 night run at wembly. Only time ever I had front row... didn't find out till I got there it was also bang smack in the middle, right in front of the man!!! Long story but he kept looking straight at me & I nearly ran away a few times! Hahaha! I was young & it was overwelming to say the least! He threw me a number of plectrums & flowers... pulled faces at me... I couldn't catch shit... all I could do was grab onto myself & repeatedly say F**k! & Shit! every time he looked at me. That man has a crazy intense stare. Towards the end I threw up a massive bouquet of orchids a friend made me take (she couldn't get tickets that night). He had to jump to the left to catch it & then ran up the stairs to the bat symbol. He held the bouquet up infront of the symbol. I would love to see the video footage of that night.... I ain't been the same since! "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

Dublin,Ireland October 2002. Was part of NPGMC and about 100 of us got into the soundcheck as we had wrist passes through the club.We were all in the first 2 rows and Prince and the band played for about an hour and Prince came down off the stage and sat about 5 rows back from us on his own with a mic in hand.He was asking people questions and just chilling about. Some guys got to shake his hand as he was walking back to the stage and he was really cool. He then played about a two hour set and we were all still front and centre. After that because we still had our wristbands it got us into the afterparty in Spirit nightclub in Dunlin city centre. The club floor is quite small so there was only about 150 left in.Right in front of the stage without it being mobbed. There were a few Irish celebrities on the balconies (westlife members I think)...So overall I got to see him play live for over 5 hours in one day.Met some really nice Orgers from the UK that day in pub before soundcheck started.

Ok one more from me. The tour was the Welcome to America tour in NYC Madison Square Garden. Its the encore section. He comes back after long pause in the action to thousands of screaming fans. He goes into the song Jungle Love. During the action he says "Hold up, it looks like my momma is in the house, come on up momma!" And then much to the surprise of the crowd he brings up Cindi Lauper! He was joking and in a great mood. She grabbed the mic and started all gospel. It was definitely funky and funny.

One of the many 21 nights in London shows I saw was when I had amazing seats from the side... The show opened up with "DONT WORRY I WONT HURT U I ONLY WANT YOU TO HAVE SOME FUN... Of course then into a sublime version of 1999... So good, so perfect! The summer of musical dreams 2007 - I went to 10 shows in total including some insane aftershows, it can't get better than that! Is that it? No more responses? I have loved reading the one's that have been posted. Ok here's my last one. The year 2004. Musicology Tour. Hartford Ct. I was in the awesome NPG music club seats. I was like 4-5 rows from the stage. Prince was in rare form. I am sure he did this at many of his concerts but at one point in the show he sat on a lounge chair and started reading a magazine while the band was jamming on some funky music. And guess what he was reading? The latest edition of Rolling Stone with his picture on the cover of course! So there he was just chilling and reading acting all non-chalant. He slowly lowers the mag and acts surprised to find out he's in a concert. You know, that Prince face that's like "what's going on here? Oh I am at a concert, my concert!" Too funny. Any more contributors?

One Night Alone: Avery Fisher Hall in NYC - I had very good seats through the NPGMC & thought I'd risk taking some photos. Of course, Prince was in his anti-photography Gestapo mode even then. I'd managed to shoot an entire role of film (yes, film...) which I dropped down my shirt, before security came to escort me out - they locked my arms behind my head & since I wasn't in a very helpful mode, I dropped to my knees & made them drag me out (there were maybe 3 songs left in the show at this point & some dickhead next to me who had also taken some pictures with a disposable camera ratted me out. When were in the venue lobby, they went through my backpack & apparently thinking I was also somehow bootlegging the show with my SONY Disc-Man, confiscated my Moxy Fruvous Live Noise CD. Assholes. I contemplated mailing the venue prints of the photos I took that I had dropped down my shirt.

He then removes the cap, and it's actually Mayte. Prince comes strolling up on stage from behind, with a smirk on his face.

Very nice to all that have contributed. But when I say "best" concert moment I just mean share a great moment from a concert you attended. Like when I went to Musicology 2004 in Toronto. He picked up the bass and slapping out 777-3371 out of no where. Just a tease but still it was Funky as hell. That was fun to witness!

Living in New Zealand which is like the Prince equivalent of living in Pitcairn Island or Tristan Da Cunha, I have only been to one actual Prince concert, but it was a memorable one at least or many reasons. . First of all it was because Prince was winking at me, I know many folks say this and people say yeah yeah whatever, but I was really dancing my ass off and Prince was walking around the symbol stage (It was in Melbourne on May 15 2012) and I was in the third row and visible moving about more than most people around me. He was facing me and playing guitar and winked at me and smiled. I knew he was looking at me. That is enough repayment for my 24 years of purple devotion. . The concert was amazing, Prince played avariety of hits and more obscure stuff, there were several encores, an appearance by Flavor Flav and Public enemy, a dance sequence at the end where Prince helped a little girl on to the stage and a last encore in which Prince was bought on the stage in a purple box and leapt out and played "Days of Wild". It was totally worth coming to another country for!!! Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
