Maybe someone just thought that he'd let his private collection out in wider circulation.

Usually in fan communities, it's out of spite. It's generally a case of, 'Well, you leaked my stuff, now I'm gonna leak yours". But then again, the Prince community seems to be different when it comes to leaks. So, maybe it's just a rebellion against Prince.

I think I realize what's going on. Purple Rain Remastered is still being released, but it will have a note from Prince saying, "Check Prince.org for the mutha furtha unreleased tracks."

At least 3 of those four you mentioned came from different sources

The Flesh was first leaked back in September

It could be Prince leaking them or the Publishing company he's got a new deal with. All of these "leaked" tracks were probably under the Warner Bros. contract , so they (WB) owned these masters (although they are his songs, they owned the tapes for them and studio time ) until they (WB) released them to him ( Prince ) through their new contract/agreement .

Either way, I'm grateful. All this does is makes me appreciate Prince's hardwork and creative and genius mind more.
