It does, but considering that some of these recent leaks are recenlty heard tracks in better quality like Moonbeam Levels then what I said stands correct.

We either get something we've heard already in better quality, like maybe a better sounding 'Go', for instance, or we get something new that most have not heard, like a track like Pickle.

Reliable sources have said next year, but would not elaborate on what. And no, I'm not purposefully trying to be coy. I tried to ask for specifics and was shut down.

I'm with y'all, and hope this pans out for the better and sooner than later, of course.

How many leaks have their actually beed aside from The Flesh? I mean from what I am hearing from you folks, it seems like people are taking already circulating stuff and then editing the files to the point they are unlistenable. ie: all the subliance I am reading about.

Purple Music that has just leaked few days ago is indeed a new Source...what a bass ...My God!!! & more details in the mix......this TRAX is PURE JOY!

I think you have to take account The Black Album & Lovesexy albums. They had to have been done with some planning on Prince's part. When you look at how the albums were released, the cover art, the hidden message on the Alphabet Street video. That message got heavy air play on MTV. Remember: I'm Sorry, Please don't buy The Black Album. This was an invitation to go look for this lost album. Not to long after this was on MTV a friend of mine got a copy of this. We went looking for this album. It was another way of Prince to get his music out without the consent of Warner Bros. At the time he wanted to put out more music than Warner Bros was willing to put out. The Black Album artwork even looked like a bootleg. No name, no art. Just black on black with peach lettering. Camille was his alter ego, the dark side. The Black Album, put out in the black market. Prince was the other side, the light side. Lovesexy.... Even the concert tour was set up under the two sides. Dark and then light. He even played songs from The Black Album on the dark side of the concert. You will never convince me that The Black Album wasn't an intentional bootleg. Never! Other bootlegs, yes I can see him not wanting them out. But not the Black Album. So if you could consider that Prince put The Black Album out as a bootleg. Who is to say he would have wanted to do that with other material? People on this thread said that after 1995 the fresh bootleg material dried up. Consider that he didn't need the "black market" to get around Warner Bros. Who is to say that he didn't give people tapes knowing they would end up being bootlegged. AAAHHH well... what about all of the lawsuits? Those came after his contract with Warner Bros was up and he didn't need the black market to get his music out. Just my thoughts....

I always felt the black album was a covert release to subvert WB ...i've never been able to fully explain why i felt that way tho!

If you personally find discussion of bootlegs distasteful, that is your problem and I would suggest you solve it by not opening threads that are obviously about them instead of chastising others from your high horse.

Correct!

To me it is a bit like Clorren Bacon Skin, its a novelty and great to hear a work in progress, but it soon becomes tedious and boring as far as a listening experience goes. But definately one for the archives.
