Purple Music. Its not EX, But now its listenable, enjoyable

Dinner With Deloris. The old curculating copy is very low, muffled, poor, almost unlistenable. The update is clear and vibrant
Madonna's Love Song (Album Inst.) flac, But appears this has been around for a while, still a nice find

I've found the Love Song instrumental--I like it. Still looking for Purple Music--I've found a Dinner with Delores that's practically underwater--I assume that's the old one. It was so bad (and it's been so long since I've heard the official version) that I couldn't even tell what was different.

Yeah thats the old one.. Most noticeable, its missing the guitar near the end and i believe some overdubs

INVITES>. Ppl get PAID to do what they are good at and THAT's why
they get "invited".. When you mix.. SOME Engineers like to test what
their mixes sound like on car systems.. That means dub a cassette
down / DAT / CDR and jump in the car and listen...

BUT the MAIN way this stuff gets out is this...

Prince records a demo.. Engineer dubs a copy... Mixdown engineer
dubs a copy of his mixes... In the meantime a Band member asks for a
copy to be slipped in his bag when Prince is not looking.... Send to
Publishing Co.... That's ANOTHER copy sent from DESK TO DESK getting
logged and cataloged... Somewhere down the line the tape gets
taken...

A new album project gets sent to the mastering co. Engineer make a
master disc and a few test discs.. One goes home with him.. etc...
New LP demo's gets sent to a lable... An executive gives the tape to
a nephew who loves Prince / Accuaintance who gets him drunk enough to
give him the tape (Yes I'm telling your story you punk A*s b*tch!)

OR MY FAVORITE!!!!!
Prince likes a girl.. Gives said girl a tape of stuff... New girl
tommorrow night will get another tape... ETC. ETC. ETC!!!!!

So how do these ppl become DISHONEST????? Looks to me like Prince
gives the stuff out most of the time! How do I know??? I have A FEW
of those actual tapes he GAVE to girls!!!!!

And these are some of the reasons why I find it completely resonable for those that are not as informed by the facts as T (from personal experience) or databank (from research) to jump to the false conclusion that Prince leaks bootlegs. It seems like something he would do: leak bootlegs privately while condemning them publically.

I don't believe this is the case but I do understand why some would. It would be just like him...

Despite the strong arguments posted by Databank and T, I tend to think that Prince did conciously leak stuff. I think he has always been well aware of the black bootleg market and how much it creates a buzz among fans (Led Zep, Floyd and the Beatles fx). The whole Black Album episode gave him press and was one of the biggest hypes of his career. So business-wise it makes perfectly sense to conciously leak stuff. Didn't he also mention not long ago "we got bootlegs 4 days" ... starting (again and again) speculations about him opening the vault ...

Anyway, back to the OP.

Whether it was Prince or not, does anybody know the reason for the amazing stream of good quality leaks?

It just occurred to me that maybe we're the reason "unheard" songs may not be included with the PR remaster. Maybe Prince is pissed at people sharing his unreleased music over the years and wouldn't want to reward our bad behavior. Just a thought.

Is the new Purple Music really that much better than the former one? I always liked that one, and thought it could have replaced All The Critics on 1999.

Have not heard the song, but plenty of free audio programs out there to rectify that.

There will be more. What and when? Not sure. Early next year, but not specific time. And again, as for the tracks. Your guess is as good as mine. But considering what's made its way out, it can only be tracks of better quality or something completely different. I'm hoping for completely different.

It does, but considering that some of these recent leaks are recenlty heard tracks in better quality like Moonbeam Levels then what I said stands correct.

We either get something we've heard already in better quality, like maybe a better sounding 'Go', for instance, or we get something new that most have not heard, like a track like Pickle.

Reliable sources have said next year, but would not elaborate on what. And no, I'm not purposefully trying to be coy. I tried to ask for specifics and was shut down.

I'm with y'all, and hope this pans out for the better and sooner than later, of course.

Purple Music is not bad, at all. I like the way that P sings it; he's never sung like this, previously. A funky little ditty that goes on for over 10 minutes.

Teacher, Teacher and Everybody Wants What They Don't Got don't sound bad either.

Everybody Wants... does indeed sound like Prince over the pop music band Chicago's music; i like it, though.
