Splash, not Shhh.

Disc 3, track 11 - Shhh 3:20 (1985)

I completely missed that! doh!

That's got to be a misprint, because Shhh wasn't even written until 1992.

It is, because it's the Versace Medley version. I wonder how much on this set may also be superior quality than previously available, or truly new (for example Electric Chair from 88, did we have this? We have a long mix but not this IIRC!, and yeah Empty Room 85 wasn't out either).

I'm gonna have to find myself a torrent when this is out!

I actually remastered "The Versace Experience 2006" myself and shared it around various sites at the time. I wonder if they've used my remaster on this, that would be quite ridiculous.

I'll be able to tell by comparing the sound files, since I know exactly what I did to remaster them and what the wave forms looked like afterwards compared to before.

Any clues as to what "Cream (Straight Pass 12")" is?

Also, where is this promo sourced from?

Seems that Eye Records are taking advantage of the recent leaks of "Love Never Has 2 Say Goodbye" and "Don't Let Him Fool Ya" by releasing a new set of mostly material that has been around for a while.

Is there anything else new on here? I don't think I have "Everybody Wants..." although I did hear it had recently leaked, and I don't think I have the Lady Cab Driver instrumental either.

Sweeeet!! Thanks for the heads up Militant. Any word when this is coming out?

Hope I can find a copy, so many of the sites dedicated to Prince's boots have been purged...

There are definitely two distinctly different versions. The '85 version is more subtle and piano/keyboard driven. The '95 version has more of that era's bombast and a blistering guitar solo.

the version you're callig the '85 version is the '92 version.

Oh yeah. Brain fart. Still, there are two different versions. Is the '95 version actually from '85 then? The production doesn't sound like it.

That's my case too. I don't download, I don't listen to music through a computer. Actually, I've already bought a copy of this one. I understand the position of those who say "don't pay", it's not something to be proud of (listening to free bootlegs isn't either), but they should understand that not everybody downloads or enjoy the internet as a medium to listen to music.

Should't Prince be the only one to get paid. To charge that much for CD originating from digital files gotten for free is disgusting. I know someone has to buy it first to distribute it for free but paying lots of money is wrong

i wonder if "Lady Cab Driver instrumental" is a real outtake/demo or a fan made instrumental mix of this song??? and for the demo version of Purple Rain i guess it's the old rehearsal from the same song on circulation since a long time among fans!

I agree but not everyone on here knows how to get them. I try and find them myself for download but never can. We are not allowed to ask where to get them on this site so the only way to get them is to buy them for us not in the "know". Kind of sucks but thats the way it is.

If it really is in perfect sound quality this will be the most in demand boot since 'Box O Chocolates'. Am also salivating over the 2013 Montreaux soundboard.

Exactly. I'm sceptical of that claim but we will see.

If it's true, then that means somebody did deliberately degrade the quality of "Don't Let Him Fool Ya", becuase I would describe the quality of that as precisely the opposite of "perfect".

In fact, the quality is so poor that I had to remaster it myself just to make it listenable. The copy I was sent was incredibly quiet, and so muddy that you could barely distinguish the instruments.

Wow. Perhaps we are in for a treat with this, then.

Eye Records don't have the best reputation, but I'm willing to give them a chance.

However, for the moment I still remain very sceptical.
