I like it, I have to admit!

The beat/sequence/song could have done with a few more little changes in the arrangement and the first verse sounds a bit clumsy in the delivery, but I wouldn't mind a full album with this type of modern RnB.

It reminds me a bit of Dâm-Funk music, with Prince vocals. Can't be a bad thing!

It would be unfair to blanket everyone with that tag....Not everyone fits in that lineup...For some folks "Clouds" and "U Know" is just not their stylistic bag...

I may be a little biased, however. Musicology/3121/Planet Earth/Lotus came with a decent fashion, at least. Prince in suits, normal hair, professional looking, Idunno, but it somehow made the ERAS seem more likeable and maybe this added onto the fact the songs were no longer groundbreaking like in the 80s/90s but were still relatively enjoyable, not bad at all.

What's wrong with what I wrote? Prince is easily more talented than all the stars of today put together, but is he playing good music currently? No. Instead, he's playing the same music as them but he doesn't know how to make pop-shit therefore he ends up doing a half-assed attempt that's even worse than a real pop song.

That's true, I'd rather hear this than "WhiteCaps". That song is boring!

While this seems like a stab at contemporary R&B, I appreciate that it has a thick mix and sound, and it is catchy.

Sure the autotune makes it seem typical, and the beat is sampled, but I think it works. I'm rooting for it. Prince leaves behind fans to try to make new ones the same way he does with bandmates.

U KNOW...is GOOD!! Damn sexy. I've been hard on Prince's recent output, but this track is hypnotic, sexy, and grabs your ear in fresh ways I haven't heard from him in a while. Love the electronic blips and reverse tape sound effects - inventive, cool. YEAH. I don't understand the haters on this one.

Yesterday I thought this song was okay, but today I couldn't stop humming the lyrics. Whatever that means.

And I never said I gave a damn about whether you care what I listen to. You can not be objective when it comes to Prince. You call people fairweather when it comes to him but you are a fairly recent phenomenon on this site yourself (posting-wise).

I could gove a ton of examples of fans embracing R&B Prince. You want to make an issue when there is noen.

I like the song a lot... but one thing I don't like about it is that I have no idea what he is talking about... its vague and after several listens.. but it works sonically

I just wish I knew what the fuck he was talking about. The reason I like the female rappers song better is because it’s clear what she is talking about and it’s relatable and its sexy. I saw someone say Prince's voacal is sexy... As a man I have found many Prince songs sexy but this ain't one of them.

In the rappers version people are talking about her man... dissing him but they don't know him like she does. She loves him and will stand by him... and it’s delivered with a grit and smartness that I love

I listened to Prince and the grit he raps with sounds a bit forced and he stumbles as the song goes on. P is really struggling with words and rhyming in all of his songs and delivering vocals without clumsily falling over his words. He does this towards the end of this song with his rap. However, I do like the song. It doesn’t sound like anything he has ever done before EVER. So I love that and I kept waiting for the guitar to come in... for him to totally alter the feel of the groove with his guitar...and he didn't do it. I was so proud of him. I know that sounds funny but I know there are people out there who know exactly what I am talking about.

Overall ... good job Prince
