No, it actually doesn't compute because for someone that can do it all and quite well, his leading by example would be more conducive than following the trends. Well, I think so anyway.

I actually enjoyed the H&R tours, also Musicology - CD and concerts, so that's not "a laundry list of all my disappointments". So you can exile yourself again if you like but I'm not going anywhere because you don't like what I say.
I was just pointing out that he, himself has been "dependent on the tricks". And tricks are tricks, whether they're through technology or old fashioned slight-of-hand. So he should have a problem with himself, if it's as you said, "How about he only has a problem if people are dependent on the tricks?"

Just Prince, the sampler and any other instruments he chooses to add and play himself. He could trigger a beat and improvise on top of it on guitar, bass, drums or whatever.

This is a good song. I can actually listen to it without cringing. but the vocals are mixed way too loud. If it had a decent mix if would be great
