CLOUDS May as well start a thread for the new song, I like the song alot, but i dont think it will be a major hit unless warners uses some serious promotion for it. I like the music behind the song more than the lyrics. I think it sounds like breakfast can wait. I would give it a 7 out of 10

YES: 9.5/10, "Clouds" is fantastic, but not as good as Kiss or When Doves Cry....

Must be good if thedance likes it I'm also digging it, sounds bit sci-fi like someone said on the other thread. Doesn't sound cheesy or like he's trying too hard like on some of his other recent RNB tracks (Incense & Candles etc)

I like it, the bass, beat, tempo and piano line reminds me of Honey/Hey DJ. Love the Lianne LaHavas spoken bit, "Mr Nelson? Mr Nelson..?" That was out of left field and made me smile. Ends on a nice Princely guitar solo, ticks all my boxes. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I'm loving Clouds! I'm guessing that lianne la Havas is on co-vox, I'm giving it 8.5/10 Interviewer: What's it like to be the greatest guitarist in the world?
Clapton: I don't know, you'd better ask Prince

I like it, it's not really my thing stylistically, but who can deny that the guy is a true master of his trade?

ANYONE GOT THE LYRICS DOWN YET?

I've been fairly unsatisfied with Prince's studio releases in the past few years. This song, along with The Breakdown, give me hope that this Prince album might be good. I really like both these songs.

The intro is just so damn funky. Loving the song. Thank you for not releasing something formulaic.

You should never underestimate the power of a kiss on the neck when she doesn't expect a kiss on the neck, when she doesn't expect a kiss on the neck
In this brand-new age we do everything quick, fast in a hurry

AM I HEARING A LINN DRUM MACHINE I AM HEARING A LINN DRUM MACHINE
THIS IT IT THIS IS WHAT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
No but seriously, I really like it. The only thing I could pick out that I dont like is the auto tune thing he's using on his voice. It takes away the shine from his beautiful singing voice.

Nik West said a while back that (after the initial listening party, I think) that it had both linn and live drums and not a lot from the NPG Hornz. Everybody stop on the 1...GOOD GOD! Uhh!

I very much like it. Has a Lovesexy vibe to it. Sounds fresh to me. I only wish it had one or two more verses as the 'story' doesn't really go anywhere. But the groove is the type that only he can create - perfectly spaced and layered. Funky as. Love the English lass in the breakdown sections. It's OK, well produced and all, but it could be from any other r'n'b act out there. It sounds a little generic and has no great melody. But it's nice. I was more excited about The Breakdown and can't see myself listening to Clouds that often.
